Being a L0li is something you haven't 100% control over for a few years too. But you still CAN chose to dress either more adult like when you are in that age or to dress more childlike, when you out of that age.
Being a trans is a step you chose. Yes, you don't have control over it, if you feel stuck in the wrong body, but hormons or an operation is still the persons decision.
I hope you see, that your examples don't fit.

Thank you for sharing that. It was Summertime Saga's Eve arc that helped me to resolve how I think I would respond. I have had a number of transman and transwoman friends, but have never been intimate with them. Eve's story inspired me to look within and realize, less theoretically, what Lee Francis said in her video.

i say that because Heather is the star for the next update. i've been very vocal here on my belief that her and Nea are the real female stars of the story.

So at the very start we are talking while "she" is away from the table. But this is going to be like the mother in "How I met your mother" we will go back to that much later. Framing devices are not uncommon in stories, think Princess Bride. That's why I included the wink emoji at the end. I know it's not the prologue, but my brain couldn't help but running with the concept of a confused player. Poe's Law, I guess.
Yes, I do get a little frustrated with the games that give us the promise of multiple loving relationship harmony and then pull it all way (I'm talking to you, Melody!). We've already seen evidence that a number of LIs are not adverse to sharing as long as MC doesn't ignore them.
From a polyamorous perspective, I am liking the fact that many of the LIs relate to the MC, have needs from the MC, that are unique to them. It's not just adding numbers, but making connections. No one LI needs to match the MC 100%, each one brings something unique to the mix.
