Best way to manage expectations about AVNs is not to have any. Their progress is wildly unpredictable since many/most are not full-time jobs but side projects.

Because i remember it was abandoned for quite some time.
The dev is a slow-burner type. Updates for this game tkae a long time.
And according to the rules of this website, games are automatically tagged as Abandonned after a set amount of time since last update, unless the dev demands the tag to be removed. But Luxee has left this website a long time ago due to them getting harassed, insulted and threatened daily by people who didn't like some part of their content.

last part isn't true, if a game gets tagged abandoned, the dev can't demand it's removal, it's kept until a game update is released
I'm pretty sure this one has actually had the tag set then removed multiple times

The tag is automatically removed by the staff if there's an update, but devs can ask them for removal as well if they are active on the site and working on their game. Recreation, the dev of Bad Memories, for example, has done so multiple times. Otherwise all of their games would have been marked as abandoned despite they being active on these forums.
