It's fine to be paranoid - if you want to play and have concerns, feel free to continue blocking the game via your firewall.
Anyone else can make their own judgment based on information we have available. It appeared to be a connection to pull in latest news about the game and I saw no further attempts after taking various actions in the Settings/menus and during gameplay.
As always, when we see something of potential interest to players, we advertise what we know for those considering downloads and will investigate more deeply if it appears nefarious (we have taken builds of other games down that appeared too suspicious.) This doesn't appear nefarious and I saw nothing in the payload that would indicate a privacy breach, but as always make whatever decision is best for you.

I am on Vivian's Quest with the flash drive the m'c says it will take 3 days and then I get sorry an exception has occurred then the flash dive is m.i.a[missing] and Vivian's quest is no longer on my list after that exception has occurred .
