Hello Patrons!
First of all, thanks a million for the kind comments and messages I got in my last post as well as some other creators who reached out, I really wasn't expecting that, nobody had to do it and I am thankful for those who reached out and built my confidence back up. I really, really appreciate it.
This post is going to be a progress update as well as a mild change of plans for release (although there will still be content this month.) I am going to get in the habit of doing a progress update roughly every
1-2 weeks whether the game development went good or bad, I would rather make mistakes say how horrible things went than letting months go by, over analyzing things forever.
This might be a little long winded so If you don't want to read a wall of text and just want to see what you are going to get and when then just scroll down a bit and skip to

2: below.
Development is going well(ish), after I aired a lot of stuff out and spoken to some people I seem to have a newfound belief in myself and it is a lot easier to bounce back when I hit a wall or I get frustrated with something I am working on not working out. IE the 3d particle effects which literally took me over a month of trying to get to work which honestly is only working with a minority of the characters but I do have a new card on the way which
should help with that.
I am a bit behind yet again as I have been struggling with several coding problems, remaking the nav to be more unique (which I have gone back and forth on a million times and I am just going to do what feels right with everything at this point which is make something more unique and less samey.) as well as trying to reconcile how old some of my content is with how spread out and short winded and sporadic some of the things I made turned out.
I have one portion of the scenes I have been working on that are ancient and are more of the typical 20-30 images followed by a few animations (or none) compared to the more recent stuff you saw in trailers where most of the game consists of idle animations with higher resolution renders and a camera along with a payoff in the lewd scenes. Also, besides some of these not being finished there are several instances where as far as erotica goes, like, when I first started I literally did not understand even the slightest thing about pacing, what to show and when and many of these skills were learned over the course of the past year and a half where essentially I have played more games, watched wayyyy more hentai now and I feel I have a much more firm grasp about how much to show off the main characters Evelyn, Liora and others. (just as an example of where I was at, my previous game had basically zero buildup, maybe a bit but not very thought out or teasing.)
Some of these scenes you saw IE the bathroom scene with Liora that was partly shown in the trailer, this in my eyes is way, way ahead of what I want to bring out in the first release, same deal with the extra content of Evelyn, (The Gold Chain outfit of Evelyn) and her theater scene as well. That's not to say you won't be getting any lewd content, in 0.1 you will go all the way with at least one character and do some sexy time with several others.
Anyhow, between remaking the intro and fixing old scenes there's simply no way around this taking longer than going into next month and this game seeming a bit flipped on it's head so I am just going to do two things.
1: (a relatively short) Intro released this month, with some puzzles and some lewd scenes.
<- If I can't get this out before the end of the month or at least in the testers hands I will pause pledges for now.
I talked it over with some of the bigger pledgers that I have had good experiences with generally of the people I talked to they seem to be okay with this.
2: The rest of the content with sandbox completed inside of next month.
<- Again, even if I get the first goal done, if I cannot get this done in the following month I will just pause the pledges in April as well.
I just want to stress that this isn't because of pressure from you or anyone outside of my patreon, it's 90% me having anxiety over the way I am delivering content (the format in game.) to people and the amount of time that's gone by and looking forward to either getting it over with if you do not like it or getting excited for it if you do. The intro is mostly recent stuff made (and some of the cave stuff remade) so it is going to give you a good indication if you are going to like the general game delivery or not. (the sandbox or general gameplay will remain to be seen though.)
The trailer is going to have to wait until either some time before the sandbox version next month or skipped entirely as trying to get creative and show the game off in an exciting way is eating into time and I just want to focus on the game for now.
I find the more I try to do the right thing, or the best thing or not look bad I just fuck everything up beyond belief and I just can't live like that anymore. I just want to get content out on a monthly/bi-monthly basis and keep doing what I love while managing people's expectations the best I can (admittedly, this is hard, I have been making content online for over 3 years now and have never hit a deadline
EVER, but I digress)
Anyhow, that's it for now, I am hoping this is the last time I bring any disappointing news. I am going to be posting either weekly or biweekly (give or take a day or two!) from now on whether things went wrong or IRL work got too hard and I shit the bed on development or whatever else. So expect to hear from me again probably between one and a half weeks.
