why should he paused his patreon? it's not like, you have to pay. i've been patron for a while, and then i canceled my payment,
because i didn't see any progress. don't get me wrong, i don't protect anyone, i don't care... but the core argument here was, he should pause his patreon account because he didn't deliver. yeah that's a fact, but if you're too dumb to cancel your payment, then you don't deserve that money.

It's never about the 2-5$ that you spend on patreon, it's always about the thousands of dollars that some devs are making.i don't know... usually ppl gives a shit about others, but not in terms of money. that's crazy...
People don't give a shit about what others do with their money, but when someone starts making a decent cash that's when jealousy kicks in.
People are starting to lose their patience, they're getting frustrated and salty. Others just crave attention. Some of them are just trolls coming out of the woodwork when something isn't going the way it supposed to. You never see them saying anything possitive, always whining about something.
It's very rare that somebody would actually care, usually there is something else on their agenda. Atleast that's how i see it xD

Same is the case with Afterglow. Its funny how people lash out on it saying 3 years of developement and just a simple first release with little content. Except that they conveniently ignore the fact that Afterglow hadn't set up a page to collect money for 3 years, it just launched a thread here to talk about the title.. it wasn't in the making in the traditional sense for 3 years.
They were just sitting on it and didn't ask for money, its just that the discussion thread existed for a long time. Quite a useful advertizement tactics i might add.
Which is very different than setting up a P. page and taking the money for nothing while saying its going to come, soon, and then nothing is released for 1.5 years.
People who love to play malcontent just conveniently ignore the difference between "Lets talk about the game i'm going to make for years and when i actually release my first release i'll launch a crowdfunding page" and "Okay, start giving money and maybe one day in the future.. i may release something".
the image of Evelyn that I like the most is the one with the Bikini and the sunglasses (it's really super sexy there)
however we hope that it will come out, by now very interesting games / projects if you see few of them, Apocalust gives the feeling of being something at the level of, Treasure of Nadia, Midnight paradise and Milf city

People need to learn to manage their expectations. Yes the devs are partially responsible for it too, you can't just let the hype run rampant and grow uncontrollably, you need to trim it down sometimes but for when it comes to most developers they choose to remain very cryptic for some reason. This could be why some people felt disgruntled with the first release of Motherlove/Afterglow.
But none of this would have happen if people were a little bit more reserved.
If you're reasonable with your money you're going to wait for the update to be released before you become a patron. But if you feel like you can spare a couple bucks, nobody should stop you from pledging early.
Funny thing is that it's usually those who are reserving themselves from paying or never intend to do that, those people are the ones that complain the most.
Because in their mind, people throwing money at devs willy nilly are slowing down the development. So they blame both sides, patrons for paying and devs for enabling it.
Truth is, that no matter how bad it is, we wouldn't have so many new games if it weren't for Patreon.
We just need to be better at managing our expectations, and have a some patience.
Go easy on him, he's just a sad dude looking for attention in a porn forum. So sad it's not even funny.
