Know everything before you post about something my guy. other wise you will get roasted. you may not know what DEV said and What Promises he made. And may not be here getting disappointed after he does that every time.
Jupp, because the gaming industry never broken release schedules before. And to expect higher standards from a one man band indy dev is that realistic right? Just look at the latest fad... Cyberpunk, delayed several time and still released as a mess.
Stuff get released when it does, go around and bitch about it not released when people say it should is just a waste of calories in this time and age. Unless you really like to set yourself up for disappointment (just to have something to moan about).

Uh, you asked me what I was moaning about? I told you, so there, you have it. Just because it's not about games, porn or what not. Doesn't change the fact it's the thing that make me most furious (whatever) atm. People upset about game releases delays etc seems so f'king trivial atm.

If you been a supporter of the creator and have been throwing a lot of cash their way to support the creative process and looking forward to the game as a reward of your support. I can understand people get annoyed over it, but lets be honest here? Majority of the people on this site that bitch and moan about slow releases, delayed releases etc. Never given a dime to any creator what so ever.

Paying assume you bought something. Since you don't buy any through Patreon. You did "donate" to the creator for 4 months in the hope of get something out of it. When creators come up short the only thing you can do is vote with your wallet and stop pledge.

Just to be clear.

1) You absolutely do "buy" something on Patreon. You buy (monthly) access to a specific content from a content creator.

2) These are NOT donations. If you create content on Patreon you have to tax the income you make through it. If it were donations you wouldnt have to tax them. And if you have a frequent income through Patreon you also have to register a company and pay corporate income tax. This is not a charity.

But I agree that the best way to deal with this kind of "creators" is to stop supporting them. Dont get me wrong, quality takes time and that is fair. But promising the release of a game/demo for a specific date and then dont deliver again and again while making up more excuses than content, is a different story.

It's donations, and its taxable income, because the receiver is not a "charity" organization. If it had been a charity you could have deducted it on your own tax's :p At best its a subscription service where you subscribe to the time and effort of the creator in the hope of get something back out of it. End of the day it's best to just look at it as a donation, a tip, whatever..

Thats what i said yes, its not a donation, hence you have to tax it. You may see it as donating to someone. But for the person receving the money, this is (legaly speaking) not a donation. It doesnt matter if you call it a subscription service or whatever, since you also PAY for this service.

Ohh a thousand pardons, for being an empty gasbags ..Along with the vast majority.
Convenient way to say shut up ,you don't pay anything ..
Many people just realize that they are being dealing with Scammers when someone warns them, and official fan boy site or Patron you will rarely see someone say something against .. (even worse, people are humiliating for little donation or ban)

Why should anyone keep silent about Devs like Icstor?
Can you forgive someone who was stopped for two or three months in arrears ,but 2 years ...?

Did you mention CD Projekt, do you really think the company will get away with it, then take money from shareholders and fool fans for 7 years?
And deliver a defective game and far from promised?
They used the shareholders as a scapegoat (it's not our fault, it was the shareholders who didn't want to wait any longer)

It reminds me of a certain VN Dev who blamed the fans for wanting more content .. (even though it was very well paid)

CD Projekt opened his legs when the last delay cost them more than 20% of the company's shares!
If it weren't for the fans and pre sales, they would be in the Project Red literally!

Perhaps the feedback between us and the Devs who take the trouble to come here in F95 will not help...
The best thing to do is to say nothing, applaud all the time and let the VN / game sink.
There is a lot of loud voices that have no horses in the race, just saying. And those that do will pull their pledge if they feel it lead no where. No matter how loud people is and make noise about creator being this and that. People will make up their own mind if they want to support something or not. It's not like loud voices become a warning to anyone when almost every f'kn thread turn into a shit show of people moaning about creators.

As for cyberpunk... my first playthrough on pc, clocked in at 92 hours.. Had no game breaking bugs. cdprojekt. released 6 bug fixes so far with last one, day before xmas. People that bought it on ps4 etc got screwed, no argument there. I see people praise like Rockstar comparing gta5 with cyberpunk. I still remember all the bugs and crap it had at release as well. Just as with their newest rdr2. The game at launch is not the the same game a year later. Saw that with Witcher 3 as well.

You are right but the problem is he said and something and word of a man mean something. He didnt follow not for 2 months but 8 months and still nothing

Inacceptable, very sad because game looks like the game of 2020. Alot of people pledge and stayed pledge because trust what he said and he didnt follow what he said with ill intent or not.

3 Types of people here with this
1. not paid anything and cry
2.Paid and trust what the dev said and 1 year later nothing
3.Simp who can wait indefinitly just because in discord they have fun together like real friends......

I was impress with dark neigh and the game was cool as fuck and one the best mom but 1 year on the game and not one demo and keep saying this and there......not even a trailer..........

Dont feed the troll. I dont know if he intentionally looks for pirate sites to morale people there or he is hypocrite. Either way: DONT FEED THE TROLL
Couldn't agree more, apparently the guy has some shitty issues to deal with IRL:
Lets see... covid resulting in lessening business and have to lay people off, and minor things like that... you know, real life?
using a porngame forum out of all things as an outlet for your IRL-troubles/frustrations is kind of a WeirdChamp though.
Just ignore his ass.
Oh and merry christmas everyone :KEK:

If you pledge for 4 months and then nothing.... Then pledge for another 4 because...reasons, and then nothing. You kinda into the area of "fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me".

As for Dark Neighborhood, yeah it was cool. It did set a step hurdle for the creator as well. Most if not any creator want their next work to be better than their previous. I got no idea how long the creator worked on that game before any release. Or how many did pledge to it before release and how long the wait took.

I made it a habit long time ago to never pre-purchase (regular games) games before release, nor pledge to any creators on Patreon making games before they got something concrete on the table. Playable demo etc. Some screenshots isn't enough for me to start throw cash at someone. If I had just recently found Dark Neighborhood, I could been inclined to pledge a couple months just to tip his jar for effort already made. But I would by no means keep pledge for 8 months waiting for something new coming.
