Also if your making that kind of money, there should be no excuses. You should have have all the rendering equipment you need. If this dev had any integrity he should be able to crank out 3-4 updates a year.

just read the latest status update and things should become more clear.
the dev has switched to one-update-per-nine-months schedule.
luckily, that should be only a short transitional phase till the desired one-update-per-year schedule, which could be expected from v0.09 onward.
meanwhile do enjoy all those great wallpapers, teasers and similar stuff...because thats the proper way of "playing" apocalust.
