Ok, so finished what's out so far. The renders are top notch, animations are next level, and story written by a 15 year old who's watched too much porn. Two out of three ain't bad I guess.

I made this post in September of 2022 and my opinion hasn't changed. It's also why I'm fine with just wallpapers, though just releasing animations to rule34 would also be good...probably harder to milk patreon that way though.

The development cycle was never the issue. The lack of trust due to continued radio silence is what people are freaking out about. At this point the damage is done, and no matter how transparent the dev is currently, there will always be an air of animosity and disdain towards them. So Grompot isn't wrong, they're just not informed about the history of the thread.
