They changed the code. In 7 it was setup so you redefine some of the dialog. In 8, they removed that.


Sample:

In 7 we had
mc norm cur "Have a good night [upd69]"
where game had define upd69 = "Evelyn."
and the patch had define upd69 = "mom."

So if the patch didn't have this defined it would just use the game's. Meaning if 8 would have stayed with the format, the patch would have worded until it ran out of definitions.

But this is the same line in 8
mc norm cur "Have a good night Evelyn."


So no definitions to replace anymore.



TLDR: Game code changed, Ipatch will need to be redone from scratch.

Also, if a patcher sees this upd287 wasn't placed in the patch for 0.07. Last line was for upd286. (At least the patch I have)

wish i knew where the fx.rpy was, lol, and also, I see only upd286 as well.

Fixes
  • Fixed an error while displaying a video (missing image)
  • Fixed the problem of the ipatch not being applied sometimes (if so just reload your game. You still need to use the patch.rpy)
  • Fixed the problem of the lust/love popup reappearing every time you load a game (probably shouldn't happen anymore in original game)

just a small question: can you adjust the screen shake and camera bob in certain scenes? it's kinda distracting.

seems like saves don't work between 7 and 8. would've been nice to know that. i think ill just discard this one from my checker.

The old saves don't work, but all the old scenes are available once you start from the v0.08 content. If you want all of the scenes unlocked, then create a save right at the very end of the new content so you can load it and view them without having to re-do it. I don't know how the points (LP) you earn are going to be used in the future, but they are of no use at the moment.

Is this game supposed to start with you talking to Ava in her nightgown? Feels like I'm dropped into the middle of something.

Running the compressed ver, choosing 'new game' > 'start from beginning'.
