You know, I was playing this game again, out of curiosity. And I find that Taylor, the girl at the weapon shop, says that the "wedding" mechanic was going to be implemented in version 0.6, but the current version of the game is 1.0 and is marked as "completed"
Do you mean that the developers were too lazy to continue working on the game and just marked it as finished?
What scoundrels!
Beyond the fact that, aesthetically speaking, it is not to the liking of many players, the game had a lot of potential to continue being playable or replayable once the main story was finished.
There are many girls and events that, at a certain point, are no longer replayable, like Angie and her mother (the country lady who with her "husband" was trying to enter the city) or like "Trumpf's" daughters and wife.
And let's not even talk about other events like "Pocahontas" and her daughter, the Mexican border officer, the farm girl or those horny aliens, etc.
And not only that, some of the girls either cannot be included in the MC's harem or do not have the option of getting pregnant. And those who can get pregnant can only do so once.
Jezz! Despite being a comical game and... criticism? It could have been one with a lot of history and alternative endings. And not just about the girls themselves (with the one chosen by the player as the "official wife", ending up at the MC's side and giving birth to several children to repopulate the land), but about the factions themselves as well.
Which, depending on which has the highest value, results in a different ending.
For example, that the "Trumpsters" faction ends up with the MC allying himself with "Trumpf" and eliminating the "Rebels" or that the "Sierra club" faction ends up creating a socialist state with a view to creating a "solarpunk" future.
Or we can even take this further, that the girls who have a similar alignment to the highest faction and who, at the same time, are chosen by the MC as his "official wife", have a plus ending that reveals how they support his ideology.
Example, Melina. When MC becomes "Trumpf's" commander, she uses him as her "personal stallion" to have strong offspring that live up to "Trumpf's" legacy.
Or with Clara, the nun of the church, who considers that MC would be more capable and "holy" than the current father, convincing him to take his place as spiritual leader and being his messenger, preaching the "qualities" of MC to save the lost sheep.
It's disappointing to see so much potential hypocritically abandoned.
