I tried to install those modpacks into the .67 game, but the instructions don't match.
In the mod packs the portraits and so on are divided first by race, then by hair color. The pictures for the different colors go into separate folders. Same goes for the index.html file snippet you're supposed to modify in. It says for example:
female: {

blonde: setup.range(1, 5),
brun: setup.range(1, 5), <- (brun???)
red: setup.range(1, 5)
}
But in my game folder there is no differentiation between the hair colors. No extra folders for hair colors. And the part in index file looks like this:

..
Did the developer ditch the hair stuff or am I too stupid?

When I used the latest version of the game 0.67a and went through all my saves, the errors were repeated everywhere. So I tried version 0.52a and the saves from that time - and everything is fine, no errors
So, as it sometimes happens with games - many changes in the game do not match old saves (even from the previous version), so it is not a bug in the saves but in the game, and until it is fixed, the only way out is to start playing again.
It would probably be reasonable for now (until the game is fixed) to warn players on the introductory page not to rely on their saves, but to start playing the game again from the beginning.
If you're trying to use saved games from a previous version like 0.52a in the new 0.67a version, that could be the reason it's not working properly. It's a version incompatibility. All you have to do is start a new game in the new 0.67a version, like I did. And I'll tell you something else. I tried to open a 0.67a save in 0.52. And it wouldn't let me because I got an error.

I know that. I was just verifying my findings and these are also just my conclusions from my previous articles and answers. I was first told that the game in version 0.67a is not buggy, but my save from the previous version of the game is buggy. The game is probably not buggy (and my save file from the previous version of the game is not buggy either), but it is incompatible with the save from the previous version.
I don't know for sure, but could imagine it being used for checks when inviting somebody to stay. I have a policy off killing all the males and only letting the women and kids live, so mine is always negative, despite letting the kids take as much food as they like, lol.
