One of the things I've noticed about this game is that while you seem to be able to avoid MC actually dying, there does not seem to really be any way to prevent your companions or anyone with a job outside your settlement from dying. So I've had to resort to ONLY using males as expendable companions to fight with, scavengers, etc. The girls all stay home or they end up dying.
Also how do you get gas masks in a way that is not purely random? I've had a few games where I found a few but I'm never able to buy any and so far this game I have never found any.
Personally, my typical goal for a game like this is to get my own little optimized harem set up with girls who have both a useful skill or two and are also young and beautiful. Doesn't seem like beauty actually matters except for sell value but I insist on it anyway.
The quests for to sell girls with specific requirements also seem annoyingly hard to meet the requirements for. I'm around 150 days into my current game and have yet to find even 1 girl who qualified for any of those.
