Those are some high quality images but why in PNG though when JPG with the same quality are much smaller.
There are ways to convert them to jpg but it would still take time

I'm in favor of the content being shared in it's original form, if anyone needs/wants to save some storage space then can they use your suggestion or similar ones.

I understand your point and I wasn't like "fanboying" or hardcore defending the png as the best for pictures format, I just like (like I said in my comment) to have the pics in the original form. If the artist made/shared jpg pics I get the jpg pics, if he made them as png, I'll get them as png.
But yes, if the lack of space problem emerges I'll convert them, no biggies...
