dev should consider something with fonts. small white fonts on often bright background makes it hard to read. maybe adding black background belt under dialogue

Too much sharpening. If you (the dev) are trying to get rid of noise, just use a denoise or despeckle filter instead.

It especially makes the places where you're using low res textures (like the window edging in the train car) look awful.

anyway some renpy games allows you to customize in preferences yours titlles and background. so you can decide what to pick

mf'n sob there is too much damned fluff in between each plot point. and i get the trend of mc lately either having a hard knock life or being the butt of some joke but damn it this is too much. the amount of fluff in between each situation is so much you get bored and start skipping pages excessively and it still takes forever to get to the next phase. sorry if i'm griping much here but please it's really damned HEAVY with nonsensical stuff that could be shortened a tad and added after certain scenario's.

This guy is 100% right. The game has so much pointless exposition everywhere between every single tiny bit of dialogue. It's not even an internal monologue its just pure exposition. At the start of the game you are introduced to like 7 characters names through pure exposition before you even meet any of them! The game just word vomits who everyone is and what their relationship to everyone else is before you know what a single one looks like and you dont end up knowing who anyone is because its so confusing keeping track. This game needs a full rewrite to fix all of it because its just skip central atm. Definitely has potential, too many girl protag games are just slut corruption/forced sim but yeah the writing here is awful as of now. The dev can do better and the time to rewrite is near the beginning of development.

There will always be whiners who don't like something, I don't see any problem with what you described, I'm much more annoyed when you look at the same picture and read the text for a minute or more , it shouldn't be in a visual novel. There is no long dialog or descriptions of nothing in this game which can be annoying. And I like the author's style and manner of writing. It's interesting to know your examples of interesting games with engaging dialog and descriptions that aren't boring.
The developer has already done some reworking of the beginning of the game and I don't see it getting any better, you're suggesting start reworking the game again, wasting time instead of continuing the story.
Don't forget that the developer is one person who does it in his/her free time and is not a professional, I can understand criticism of a game with a high rating or a large number of subscribers, but in the case of this game such criticism from people who are not even close to doing something like this is surprising.

It's such a boneheaded take to whip out the old "well YOU cant do better". Whether its free or professional regardless that does not matter, the feedback is that its quite a slog to get through the text as its quite heavy handed on exposition rather than text being in the moment. Many porn games suffer from this issue and the only one off the top of my head that doesnt have it is 'Having a HARD time', in particular that game only introduces characters when you actually meet then so you know who the fuck they are. Rather than going oh i know henry and got an apartment from him and his wife is this lady and her daughter is this who i know their boyfriend and their son who i live with now who i know who knows this person also and then this person too, like holy shit its so bad. But yeah just brainlessly ward off all valid criticism I guess and call people whiners, go off king.
