This is like a BioWare game. Without the gameplay and sex obviously (I am not a fan of the rotating puzzles). The writing is surprisingly competent, way more competent than most porn games at least, and I find myself actually caring about these characters and their journey.

As far as trans go, there is a single androgynous character and they are not even a love interest. Although I really enjoy playing as a female character with a manly voice.

Oh my god. I stayed up all night, screwed my scheduled, just because I was trying to full star the alchemy puzzle, and I just couldn't crack Strong Mosquito Repellent! Just woke up today, cracked, and looked at a walkthrough; in case anyone's a doof like me (don't know if it's me or the game; is there controls instructions somewhere?):

You can right click the mouse to spin the pendant counter clockwise! I don't know what it is for controller, I'm playing this on mouse and keyboard.

God, I was really going to declare perfecting these puzzles impossible.

There are 11 screenshots, all of them demonstrating a striking art style, impactful choices, gameplay elements, a clear and minimalist UI, or decent writing, but people here saw the game let you pick your pronouns and that was enough for many to make wild negative assumptions about the game - many of which are proven false by other screenshots that the same users clearly looked at.

And then those comments spawn the same tired attacks on transpeople that, while they've never been accurate or funny, were beyond stale a decade or so ago (many of which have thankfully been removed by the mods).

You don't have to play a non-binary character or trans character if you don't want to, it doesn't effect you. If the game forced you to play a trans on nb character then you'd have a reason not to want to play: because you might not be able to identify with the protagonist. That is important for everyone...

Including transpeople.

A straight cisgendered person can load up almost any game in history and find a character to identify with. Transpeople had effectively zero representation in games only a decade or so ago.

If you have a problem with the choice of a trans-character simply being offered then you have a problem with anyone acknowledging that transpeople are real, that they're just people like the rest of us that want to see themselves in their player character.

I'm thankful that this games' devs decided to allow for that freedom and inclusivity, and that F95Zone has rules guaranteeing the same.
Your comment was well said, To be honest the game is really enjoyable!!!!

I hit a weird glitch where I apparently made such a big explosion that it broke alchemy in that save. It wouldn't let me mix anything or even go back and reloading that save didn't help. Reloading an earlier one in a different slot fixed it so definitely keep multiple save files.

Wait, we can't romance the spirit girl?! BS = Big Sad.
Well, don't quote me on this, but I believe Mime is a... little girl.

There's heavy reference that she's a young child, She's really into that Kim kid; I know it's because of what he is and what she is, but it's obvious with both their heights being similar, and their child like innocents being paired so often, it makes you think Mime is a child, and not just an fanservice moe. Now, I get it, it's anime, she also acts pretty mature for the age I think they're trying to portray her as, which I think is more fault of the writer than the reader, so I don't fault people for wanting her to be a love interest; but even Micheal at one points says something about "Minors" (stress on the 'S', weird if it's just Kim) being in your group, and though spirit, I believe he was lumping Mime in there, too., I'm pretty sure the writers intended Mime to be underage, if not a child entirely, and it sort of holds up with her pettanko and moe like tropes.

I get it, though, she's really cute and innocent, and just a giant ball of uwu. prime female LI fodder, but I blame anime for this confusion!

EBS = Even bigger sad, since I didn't reached that part yet, her romance with Morgan was the one I was looking forward to. I wasn't even thinking anything sexy at first, the art style is just doesn't work with it. I was looking forward to some wholesome stuff, like a romance between human and spirit that kind of shit is something I don't see very often.

But instead, I guess I'll just get blue balled like that... It's a SECOND time I took an L like this, and they both happened in this same month: The first being "Bad End Theater" when I wanted some Hero x Demon Lord romance, and now "Arcadia Fallen". I swear, all those LGBT+ games are just facking over me.

gotta say my 2 or so hours of playing are fine and for me personally character creation gets me SUPER invested. not saying ill beat the game but being able to play my color coordinated character kinda play the role i would want. as for the gender stuff i will always play a guy first and foremost and then dick around with anything else half-heatedly or as a bit, i get the concern but if it was a problem the game probably showed its shitty hand as any game ive seen/heard of that had this problem was kinda already sub-par to trash. honestly if the game had a little more action (because i assume the puzzle thing is the main "gameplay") and at least some sexy time id be more determined to beat it.

but fuck all that I WANNA BE ABLE TO EXCLUDE THINGS BY TAGS! im here for smut not a fun little VN that'll keep me busy for a while but i cant filter out [no sexual content]

Yeah, I feel you. I've stumbled across this a lot, I'm into the slutty evil men (usually the big bad of the entire game), but most games steer clear of villain/protag romances.

Interesting on the Bad End Theater note, I was looking into that game, I don't know much about it, but "Demon Lord" sounds tantilizing, I'm here having second hand disappointment! (I'll probs still play it, though :ROFLMAO:)

No sexual content?!? Dang. It does look like a good game though. May still download it and try later once I run through my current queue with actual sexual content. Which to say isn't hard cause good completed games only seem to come out once every blue moon, even on this site.

Just to clarify, "gay" and "lesbian" tags CAN be applied to this, but I'd rather they don't. Because no matter what appearance and pronounce you choose, everything will play the same(didn't test for every romance, MAYBE there's a line alteration here and there). Every character can be pursued no matter what, their endings are still the same.
I suppose it's for the sake of customization, but it's so minimalistic here.
Tl;dr if you want to rp as a gay/lesbian character, do know everything will play the same for a hetero character.

It's not explained very well in the game but here are the rules for the empowered and volatile ingredients:
- Empowered ingredients are flashing purple and volatile ingredients flash red
- Empowered ingredients only appear in the top wheel
- Empowered ingredients and volate ingredients which the same symbol can exisit in the same wheel without causing an explosion
- Volatile ingredients will also explode when they are in the same wheel with another volatile ingredient, no matter the symbol
- When an empowered ingredient is brought out of the top wheel it's not empowered anymore and will trigger an reaction with an volate ingredient of the same symbol from then on
- The only use of empowered ingredients is to combine three symbols of the same kind in the top wheel (only) to make potions with more than three symbols

That being said I tried to get all stars but I don't think all of the formulars can be solved (e.g. the last potion) while the higher tier potions don't seem to have any use anyhow. It's probably incomplete or bugged.

Idk if this game has a point when there is no adult or sexual content to this adult content site.

Maybe I'm just think too much...

I hate it when games make attractive (physically and personality-wise) characters you can't romance; I'm exluded in a lot of these games as I generally like evil, and the world (rightfully so, I guess) don't like rewarding evil with protagonist love. I went in this game going straight for Kaiden, as I mistakenly thought he was the demon in question in the topic post pic (this site is my first introduction to this game), and though I really enjoyed romancing him, oddly enough, Micheal is the type I usually go for (though I'm not proud to say); avoiding spoilers, he has that edgy "darkness" I can tolerate in a hero.

I like Kaiden, though, his character/personality was pretty great, but bonus points go for that Sephiroth like profile, I was in trouble the moment he turned his head.

Shoot, wish I saw this before I posted, but all the potions' in the book can be completed, I found, except for the Glue Bomb (for me at least); the Glue Bomb's 4th star was impossible for me, with one walkthrough sort of saying so (it had these weird notes that didn't match the game) and the other one sort of... lied/ignored it? Anyways, I sort of just gave up on solving the puzzles myself, because I never really intended to care for them, so I did use a walkthrough to "figure" this out, but those particular potions requires combining symbols to become multiple sets (of 3s I think, wasn't really paying attention).

You can use my tip in the spoiler if you want to figure it out yourself, or just try this walkthrough here: or here: .

I just check the solution and you're right, still doesn't make much sense to me since you never mixed it.
According to one of the developers on the steam forums the Glue Bomb 4* challenge is impossible per design:
