I don't remember all the details, but what's coming to mind is that the Pleasurebot (that gives you gallery access) is at the far corner of the most expensive apartment. That means you'll have to have enough money to start renting that property. Wrong, gallery bot is becoming avaliable in your inventory at day 93 in any apartment. Simple as that.
