I spent half an hour running around the map, talking to almost every npc i came across before realizing i probably hit the end of the dlc content -__-

I don't know, just leaving the game as an open world doesn't sit right with me. You go around, collect 3-5 scenes for the recollection room and that's it. There's not even (small) events for the few scenes you can collect. 3 minutes running around, reveiving the notification 'scene added' and you are done. But you don't know if you got all or missed one somewhere.

Nothing, the story was already finished this is just post game roam. Check if you got all the scenes unlocked for that path (I believe its colonel, some Carla scenes are unlocked on that path) and you can start NG+ from left door in recollection room.
