First time player here: I guess it is not normal in this game that its already completely broken in chapter 2 (of 6) ?

Because every scene with a SD-card in it is broken it seems, i tryed to ignore it, but after the 5th time where i have to skip multiple images i stoped playing.

Well it is just unfortunate timing, some people are waiting a bugfix but there is ways to avoid those errors if you read/search like the last 20-40 posts or with URM for example changing the SD card variables to true or using a gallery unlocker, in the prior build v0.5.1 the SD cards were working fine but the new update messed up that, guess they tested the new content but forgot to test if messed up older chapters for new players that still didn't unlock those SD cards hehe. For sure gonna be here a fix soon.

I had none of these problems, used the patch to latest version and mod, no errors after loading previous save (at end of chapter). No errors with SD cards, no rollback errors, nothing.

Yes Maccabbee, it seems that those errors appear for whom still didn't unlock those SD cards, usually that is saved in the persistent file, if you had unlock them before you probably have no issue even replaying the game from the start.

It worked. i used the galery unlock from the 1st post and i no longer have the errors.

You are welcome, glad it worked for you. The error is from trying to call the SD card and unlock it, once it is unlocked no error, that is why probably wasn't detected when testing. The game usually also have to be tested in the perspective of someone playing it for the first time but it is normal that the most focus is on the new content.

And even there seems they missed a bug on a feature that is rarely used, the history dialogue thingy hehe always give an error at least for me "unexpected keyword arguments: ´yinitial´, ´spacing´" but it is not game breaking, if I click on history by mistake just have to ignore the error .

Not really sure how steam releases works but I guess they release with full book content. Book 1 is completed but even with chapter 6 book 2 isn't completed I think.

all my other saves work just find so not a big problem for me. The good news is he has a patch

Yep maybe also adding/syncing the *Cooing* sound effects and the new main menu as mentioned in this post https://f95zone.to/threads/artemis-v0-6-digi-b.77680/post-16671717, if so then I'll repeat chapter 5 also hehe where most of them are present.

June and Kindra are easy, unless your making some off the wall choices with either
you should have NP with them. Paige unlocks as long as you don't date Zelda and
Reina if you make the call instead of Kindra about the business. Doesn't matter who you date, June is your bestie!

I believe chapter 2....you will know as you are given a choice between Katy and Zelda{calling them}
You will take Katy and that should do it.

You can find it doing search "Compressed v0.6" or go back number of pages since there had been quite of posting. I believe the compress help reduce it to about 4 GB from original size.

"I've debated on bringing Artemis Book 2 into Early Access as many wish to continue the story sooner. After much consideration, I've decided I will bring Artemis Book 2 into Early Access. I personally wanted to wait until all chapters were completed, but I understand many want get access to new content sooner. While it's not my intention for each development to take as long it currently does, it's the wait time between each chapter I complete is what made my decision. After I complete Chapter 6 (which I am aiming for the end of 2024), I will work on getting Book 2 (chapters 5 & 6 will be ready with 7 starting development and released when done, as well as CH8.) ready for Steam for those who wish to participate in EA. So, you can expect Book 2 EA to be ready in Q1 of 2025. Slight wait as I catch as many bugs as I can and get the page ready for Book 2."

This was back in September of 2024 and of course his time line was off lol!
Not sure if he still plans on EA for steam.

the Dev is reluctant to set timelines, count (If nothing unexpected happens) for about 6 to 7 months in an perfect world,
It was not planned that the last update took this long.

You need at least 25 affinity points for the June scene. I figured this out through trial and error

The sticking point is taking Zelda to the airport (that's the flag the game checks when you're in the back of the jeep after the market). I think that was ch4?
