As mentioned several times here, update is taking longer than normal due to several factors. The dev continues to post weekly progress updates on their Patreon however. They originally were targeting a release before Christmas, but need a bit more time it seems.

Those are not really stupid questions. The patreon post you and i quoted are behind a paywall. You can find it on here but it can be annoying if you dont know where to look and as a patron it does interests me how long the update takes. If the next update takes about a year I will stop support.
They are not stupid questions, sometimes (emphasis on sometimes) is the way people ask those questions, like me I bet many of them play this game for free and they have no patience and rudely demand the updates just probably because they only read and search the date of last release
and don't even bother to search the relevant information for their questions. But again yeah I agree with you, those are not stupid questions at all.

You are patient; my limit used to be six months, but that was before the standard became yearly updates. Nowadays, I'm only supporting devs on Patreon who are just starting out.
I really enjoy the game. He also has a good reason why it took over a year. I am not this patient all the time

Bruh it's clear that the dev meant it's basically impossible but he'll try so he won't meet his previous promise of Christmas update
None of the Dev posts I've seen have promised a Christmas release. A few mentioned he's targeting a release by Christmas or end of year, but a target is just that: something they are trying to hit, but likely will not hit precisely. As time had drawn closer, they've been quite transparent that the update will likely take just a bit longer. I'd rather wait a couple more weeks for a complete, polished update, than get a rushed product to meet an arbitrary target.
i dont know seems like a deadline to me but i see how it can be interpreted otherwise
