I would say that Kindra is in the top 3 in case of popularity, her fans are just not as vocal and loud. No matter the update, she gets screen time, so people don't get as excited when she appears, but most people (me included) love her just as much as the other girls. People just want what they cant have (Zoe). We don't talk about the Vulvamort simps. They are like the alcoholic uncle in family gatherings. We know they are there, but we ignore them. They make us feel uncomfortable.

She is the villain, here, the nemesis, the dark, the shadow, the force who made the MC resilent, and strong, of course she almost killed him in the process.
She will not be discontinued, only the redemtion path which was forseen has been decided not to develop.
and there is no stronger emotional reaction to any of the other Girls.

well, my point is that neiter Kindra nor Coco would be half as interesting nor shine without this dark lady, shure the story would be still there, but Kindras passion and character, and even so Cassandra being Kindras bully shaped her to the person she is when we reunite with her.
And be honest the satisfaccion on getting back at Cassandra was one of the highlights of the VN.
Without Cassandra, this would be a happy plain Sci Fi story.
