Given my connection speed (where I live it's about 2 mb/s) I tried to download just the update. And after two hours... it didn't work. Damn. It will take me 12 hours to download the 17 gigs. I hope at least the full zip works.

That's fair. I feel somewhat the same way then it comes to harem games. I generally try the game out because of the Romance tag, a tag which gets brutalized by Harem games and NTR games alike so it's refreshing to see games with straight paths for characters. It not only makes the characters a priority but shows off the Devs range more versus lumping them all together all the time.
Women are already agreeing with harems in RL, it's called tinder dating. They're ALL going for the top 10 percent of men. They HAVE to share if they want a chance at the men they actually want.
ALso, you can most certainly have romance with multiple people. Men are wired to be able to fall in love with multiples, women just want the best man they can find. It's why actual harems work in RL.
