VN Ren'Py Artemis [v0.6.2b] [digi.B]

I found these bugs in your version 0.6 bugfix1 for Artemis 06. Did I do something wrong using your files? I simply unzipped them into the game folder. Did I have to do something else? (To be precise I used the game update to bring it to version 0.6)

Update: if I remove all .rpy files from "code" folder it only finds a problem starting with "streetkombat.rpyc" file. If I remove that one too it starts

I'm really not sure without seeing your installation but it seems you duplicated those files somehow?!? Seems just "badly" installed the mod. In the place where the .exe of the game is (where contains the game folder) check if you have there also a code folder, you shouldn't. If is there also delete it. The only code folder should be inside the game folder.

The other option is that you have a game folder inside the game folder with the mod installation also lol only can know if I look at your game installation. That shouldn't be there also if is the case. Only thing I know is it is reading twice from the same files. I can tell you that similar error happened to me in other game once and easily solved by deleting the duplicate that shouldn't be there.

I don't think so. I know that the dev had some real life problems, that's why this chapter was delayed, I guess.

Beside this he transitioned to blender as well so there was a learning curve too. That if i remember right from one of his logs like a year ago.

There was a section about bad rendering in chapter 1 or something upon launch of the update and part of me wonders if it was meant for that section instead lol. I know the dev has had very unfortunate and difficult hardships with their eyesight IRL, and I pretty much attributed the few renders and farmers market segment to probably be partly caused due to those issues.

Thought the update was fantastic, yeah the animated scenes werent top notch like usual but again genuine horrible IRL things to deal with like vision loss is one of the most legitimate reasons for someone to have problems developing a title like this. Still absolutely shines in every way in comparison to majority of AVNs, even for how much lesser-quality the animations were, they were still leagues above most. I got a couple great laughs from the banter & humor. I how consistent the growth of Artemis is, the writing didnt slouch at any points, it was mostly consistent with previous iterations. Also making good progression on the story and getting closer to the Expo. Honestly, was expecting 1/4th the update in content because thats kind of how stuff goes unfortunately, but I was pleasantly surprised and fulfilled with the release of a full chapter. Cant wait for the next one.

I didn't find the animations themselves to be bad or anything, infact they were quite fluid. Which is what initially caught my eye, and then I noticed how different they looked and could tell they were rendered differently than the stills around them. As a Dev myself, I tend to notice more details like that whenever I'm playing games now. I enjoyed the update as well. It seemed like it flew by and was over before I knew it. I'm a sucker for anything Artemis (the character) related, so seeing her tell the shoelaces to get fucked got a good chuckle out of me.

As for the eyesight disclaimer It's been in the game for a while now, as long as I've played it. I don't follow the game or the dev closely enough to say if it's a possible explanation or not, though. I wasn't really bothered by the market scene or the animations just noticed they looked different. If Digi is indeed experimenting with Blender like I think, it makes sense. It's notoriously better for animation, it renders much faster, and among several other benefits, you're also able to use the most recent gen hardware (Daz doesn't support the 50 series graphics cards at the moment). The trade-offs are that it's more difficult to learn and is a bit more involved than Daz.

Most would say yeah it's pretty damn good. It scores a 4.8 out of 5 on this site.
Steam has it at 93% reviews. But you won't know yourself till you try it.
There is a patch in the works as some are having a few issues. But since you
can download this here.....what the hell right? It's not like it's gonna cost
you $$$.... And since Chapter 1 the renders have gotten really really good!
I give it a 5 out of 5 so I'm a little bias lol!

It almost feels like he took the 'choices need to have consequence' dev lesson a bit too far, to the point where he doesn't even try to have them make sense, just as long as he can create a route block 5 updates later.

I was trying to get caught up on this game. Since it's been forever since I last played it. I restarted and a good portion of part 2 I keep getting "an Exemption has occurred". It's making it impossible to follow/read the story when I have to ignore 13 conversations in a row. It started when Kendra was talking to the mc's mom about the soldering iron. But it really ramped up when page was talking to Reina about rejecting the mc at the office.

For sure, I dont follow them SUPER close either, but I was fine with the farmers market too it doesnt bother me but I def know it would bother others. Titles still super high quality. And yeah I'm also a TOTAL sucker for all the artemis growth too lol. Feels so genuine.
