Well, no. Hetero vs hetero and homo vs homo interactions do NOT generate like points. At all. Thats the problem.

If i were to, say, populate my class with nothing but hetero chicks, while myself playing a hetero guy, the chicks would ALL eventually generate enough love count to start trying to get in my pants. If i kept refusing them - they would start generating dislike and/or hate. Like points, while obviously as toxic as dislike points (more, actually, as with dislikes alone you just wont be interacted with, while like points cause NPCs to seek interactions with you), would still make them a pain, but they would stop trying to ask you to become lovers or keep asking you on dates. Furthermore - with nothing but like points nobody would compete over anyone.

Like points are a filler, and sometimes are useful. It would take a lot of pressure off a card/PC if you could friendzone another card of "compatible" orientation, but you just cant.

i am very confused because you can walk up to anyone including a homo girl as a guy and get like points from talking about hobbies and such unless they are in a bad mood (or have any of 50 reasons to decline the interaction lol. ie if they accept the interaction they gain like points)

not love points though. because the orientation modifier reduces them to zero

also i have no idea how you are getting free love points ? some trait on your PC ?

if you have a traitless modless hetero guy, and never actively do Love+ interactions, no one gains love points for you

It applies to ALL interactions.

A hobbies talk from a hetero guy aimed at a hetero chick is a pointless interaction. It does NOT generate any LLDH, since theres no like count between the two orientations. Similarly, a homo guy talking about sex to a homo chick will generate nothing, since those two dont generate love count towards each other.

Love talks between a homo guy and a hetero chick will make the guy generate like points, but the chick will only generate love points.

Isnt that diagram clear enough?

EDIT: im thinking YOU think about lean and bi orientations. Those DO generate both like and love count. But the two absolutes do not, depending on orientation.

ah interesting, so i switched it around and made the PC male homo, and the npc fem hetero

and my friendly interactions with her dont make like points! but romantic actions do make Love points.

So this is because as PC you are overriding your characters orientation by doing romantic actions to an opposite gender, and the game simply allows it.

But why isnt friend points going up? that seems like clearly a bug lol.

might be something i can curb with a module tho

why would a girl who only likes girls gain love towards a man who is flirting with her? Love should obviously be zero for that, and it is. that is normal.

we were talking about LIKE points and you were very much confusing me since this interaction works as expected. there is no reason all homo female would refuse to be friends with any hetero male. that would be clearly a bug, but the game is fine on that as it generates like points.

the fact that this scenario reverses when PC plays a homo character, that is definately a bug. there is no reason why all traitless hetero female should refuse friendship with a homo male. that is Illusion braindead shit again lol and up until this moment i had no idea this bug existed.

Ill test some other orientation combos as well just to see which scenarios actually have the bug

i heard they dont have the same orientation system in svs but ive only played like 5 minutes

i do think svs cards have some good graphic updates tho
