I know but There should be some progress seen, to keep the player interested. Im 4 months in and Ive managed to lower the inhibition by 1, Lust raised for 0.5 and deviance is still on 0. Ive made 80 cash in total, was able to build 1 building (for the starting money) and unlock one policy/code. in 4 months. with playing every single day, even if they are somehow fast. Id like to unlock more policies or other stuff to be able to lower/rise the stats faster but i simply dont have enough nessessities for it and with this tempo, i will be able to get them maybe in a year, atleast for a start. I know thats what this game is about, I dont mind that type of games but this is too much hardcore for me...Note: Haven't played this yet, but did the older none reduex one, so take this as a grain of salt
If it's the same as the older version, there are some 'policies' in one of the options; depending on what you choose, you get/spend more or less, for other gains. The increase happens at the start of next month, I believe.
It has to do with policies and events, like in the original HHS; not HHS+, with it's 'open' world exploration. Policies are kinda static changes that happen every month or so, while events raises/lowers your stats every day-ish. And some stats are locked till you reach certain milestones -- Like something is locked at 25, until you lower something to 75, etc.
Personally, I like this better, because it's less micro-managey
