A lot of dev ends up doing this, and I don't blame them, why work when you can just stop and still get paid. It's these people that lets them do it by staying sub.

He really started out strong when he was back updates, answering questions , lots of post. Something else might have happened I'm guessing. Regardless I gave him 3 months of being dark and I stopped support at some point probably will start up again if he is back

Ok, so honestly I think Victorius is a prick. He shouldn’t be stealing money from folks if he’s not working on the game. I think if you look up old posts he admits to very long periods of time without working on it. Some disagree with me and think when you sign up w patreon you are supporting that dev even it he never works on a game again or blows it all on hookers and drugs...

It would be so much better for the game if he just passed it off to someone else and only stayed on in an advisory position or something.

Now, that being said…. Lot’s of developers put out stupid excuses as to why they are taking money from folks and not releasing updates...health problems, job problems, computer problems...etc… In Victorius’s case I tend to believe him with his long term mental issues and health problems. They may be exaggerated a bit but I do think he has problems. It’s certainly more important for him to get straightened out and comfortable with life.
I guess the flip side of that would be he thinks he just has to put out a sob story occasionally and people will still give him money. Might be true but I choose not to believe it.

So all in all I wish the very best for Victorius and his path to mental stability.
I wish the best for the game as well which means having someone else take over.
I also wish the very best for the patrons which probably means closing out the account.
Since this post will probably be taken down…..my musings don’t really matter… lol

I agree I tend to also believe in his long term mental issues and health problems, that it would be good if he handed the game off to a developer willing to finish it in timely manner or regular update schedule. Really would like to see this finished

I'm not one that will give endless support on Patreon or SS on a game If I'm supporting it I'll give it 1-3 month depending on level of support I'm giving before I cancel then normally wait at least 2 updates before I'll support again if happens again I just stop completely and no longer support.
