You start the Game labeled as Act 2, start a new game and than choose a save game from the list offered

than you likely have no vallid save file from Act 1... this was disccussed here quiet in detail just recently

Honestly, I was a little disappointed that there wasn't at least one combat sequence in the update. When I first started playing the game I thought that fighting the monsters would be an unwelcome distraction from fap time but I have to admit that it is a lot of fun. We just got a load of new spells that we haven't had a chance to turn loose as well.Man that ending of the update
Cut off right when it was about to get interesting battle wise
But yeah at least some sex scenes

Hey guys, just started playing Act 1, graduated and rescued the farmers daughter. I now have option to free roam and explore the country. I have been to the mountains and had a chat with the dude that saved me from the imp. Been to the village, chatted with the writer, old lady and bloke who was in debt. Been to the docks and chatted with the dwarf. Got to the City and the guard won't let me in without papers. So, went back to the college, Anya Archmage is meeting Bredita Darkness and I can't progress further. I can't even go to sleep to wake up the next day. Any idea how to move forward with the game? Thanks.
Had same problem, go to the mountain to see the suspicious cape person/roam around and look so you didnt miss anything. after that talk to healer woman. If i remember correctly

You have to go back to the mountains once you have done your things. If you are going back too early you will just see a blizzard. You will then get a message that this will end the free roam and you will look for the guy you talked to before. It will not go as planned.

Is there a walkthrough for this game that isn't a mod because I can't get mods to work on my laptop because I don't know how to work with them? I would like a full walkthrough.

There's no wt but you can use the mod, you just need to download it unzip the file, grab the game folder and drag it into the game folder of your game and overwrite the files.
If you want to find the game folder you need to simply open up an Explorer window by right clicking your start menu and clicking "File Explorer". Once the File Explorer window is open, click the address bar at the top, paste in %APPDATA%/RenPy/game_directory
There you will find the game folder.
I'm supposing you have a PC laptop, in case you have a Mac the procedure is mostly the same.
In this case you need to go where you have the game in you HD right click on the game icon inside the folder it will appear a menu window click on Show Package Contents and follow this path: Contents/Resources/Autorun
Grab the game folder from the mod and drag it onto the autorun folder (while holding the alt key) release and click merge on the window that will appear.
And the game will have the wt-mod installed.
