What exactly is this remake? Better renders or what? Any comparisons? I enjoyed the game even though i used cheats to get through the fight scenes. Is the story different? So many questions.

It's so they can publish to Steam.

Yet another dev thinks their AVN is Steam worthy just because a few pervs like their game. But hey... if they can make a few dollars, more power to them.

Have you seen some of the absolute dogshit they sell on Steam?

They haven't had people checking standards for years now. Greenlight was their last attempt and that failed horribly. Now you just pay them (it was £100 last time I bothered reading mail from Steam about it) and they slap it in the store.

There are games with incest, loli and rape on there. As long as no one complains, nothing happens.

There are hordes of those crappy RPGM games.

All I will say is this is a mistake in my opinion. Everything & I do mean everything will be compared to the original. If the story is worse than the original, it will be pointed out. If the renders are worse, they will be pointed out. There better not be any spelling mistakes or that will be pointed out as well. This is a useless remake honestly. There should have been a part two or something of that sort but no we get a remake. If you wanted to make a better version, then do so but make it totally different. I wish the dev all the best, but I will also make my voice heard every damn time something falls short of the original. This just doesn't seem a wise use of time & resources to me. Only time will tell for sure.

And *please*, if your remaking: Give an option to disable save naming! Usually I just click right, click to save, right click to continue. Now I have to search for the keyboard to cancel (esc) the anoying "name your save"-dialogue. Never needed named saves. Depending on the context they could be somehow intelligently auto-named instead, no? (day x, room y, persons involved etc.)

Frankly, will there be a way to keep everyone, this time or it will stay a false harem, again? bcs this was literally on my top 3 favorite games of the genre until it got to the end and everybody went a different way. why even bother having so many relationships, then? ...:cautious:
Yeah god forbid we only have a relationship with a dozen women, when we really want all 120 in our fake universe that doesn't really exist. ;)

My first impression of the prologue (long after playing the original Act I) is that this is not so much a remake as a technical overhaul and port to a newer Ren'Py version. Although I did not check whether all the images are still the old ones. The main difference seems to be that the game is now translated to Spanish and Portuguese and that it can be played in one of three game modes: full RPG, visual novel, or a compromise between the two.

The 'prologue' starts at the beginning of the old Act I and goes much further than I expected. I wonder if this is actually already the complete 'remake' of Act I, not a prologue to it. If so, then this 'remake' may be finished much faster than many of the previous comments assume.

Completely pointless in my opinion without the author addressing ANY of the problems that plagued the original release. The original endings (particularly the evil ending) was absolute piss water. I played the "Prologue" version of the remake and nothings changed except the visuals being re-rendered in a non-compressed format. Hard pass.

it took 6 years to finish this, add 2+2... how long are you willing to wait to play the same thing but slightly better looking?
It took 6 years for the dev to finish the 2 games, which isnt really out of the ordinary. I mean we could just say this is unacceptable but I doubt at this point we are gonna change the devs mind.

Why the outcry? He finished the game, let the guy do what he wants with his time

The game was good enough to play, not really much more i doubt were missing out on a masterpiece because he choose to rework this ...

I wouldnt have done it in his place tho but he will have his reasons and maybe it even turns out way better.

Nobody can blame devs for reworking their games after they finished them, thats not the usual problem at all. Its the right thing to do if you want to rework your avn (to do it afterwards).
