I'm really enjoying this VN a lot. Enjoying the characters, the story, the mystery... can't wait for more.

review for launch version:
overall interesting getting to know the setting, and everything supernatural especially. but some things stuck out
show/dont tell;
intro dialogue describes an office of a p.i with little opportunity, but remains on the same image. misses out on the opportunity to communicate financial decline that may be seen in other parts of the room (eg a creaking chair, wall paper noticeably peeling off or stained in areas, cobwebs etc.) , the window portrays a hopeful sunny day, which is not what this scene wants.
with ai, it may be more feasible to have more cg to accompany significant moments in the story than if traditional artwork was used.
experiment more with vfx/sfx
sfx usage seems appropriately disturbing where i think they are supposed to be, but consider other effects. A slight blurring of vision to portray unease or, specifically near the end when that horn sound, it could have some kind of flash and lingering vision.
the manipulation of fonts might also be able to help in this

This VN is a BIG surprise to me.
It feels like a cross between one of those walking-simulator games, and a very interesting mysterious tv series.
Every once in a while you come across a VN which should totally be a book or series, because it is intriguing to read.
I have read maybe an hour or so (I'm at day 3), and I can't wait to see what will happen. I hope the story stays focused, even when eventually there are (presumably) going to be sexual scenes as well. In this case, I think I would have preferred no sexual content because I fear it may detract from the story.

By the way, regarding the sunset "issue". It was mentioned in some of the dialogs (probably in the library with Chrissy?) that they live on a peninsula. So if its not just a small amount of water between the peninsula and the mainland, then its totally possible to see a sunset looking west and seeing sun going down in the water. I saw rivers when you cant see another bank standing on the one.
Comments are extremely critical before saying, "Yeah original plot, characters, Li's, etc.". Sorry that you don't like the MC flirting but I flirted like that and got a ton of women. He also does many nice things without asking for anything in return. Take notes incels. A lot of developers use AI figure and two static characters facing the viewer and nobody says anything. Here, apparently it's a capital offense.

That's just because it's AI mostly. Loads of devs do it with either drawn or Daz characters and people accept it.
However, a lot of them do have far more sprites they use with different expressions...so that is very fair criticism....it really would not be that much extra work (when already making them anyway) to render out a few more expressions...
Wait, you flirted with a stranger by saying that you were wondering if they got fucked on the table next to them?
If that worked more kudos to you, I know plenty of people that wouldn't have taken that very well.
Jokes aside, I am a bit on the fence about this title, some scenes, while simple, have a lot of weight behind them the rules/laws for example is pretty neat and so is the ending scene, even if I would have liked a bit more of graphical support, but the tension is palpable, the mystery is afoot, good stuff.
On the character side...well, it might be me but everyone seem to have issues over issues over issues, it would have been nice to see some normalcy (even a bit of quirkiness is fine) here and there.
I don't mind the characters being weird, Hendrik is quite cool as a concept, but why does every single one of the LI needs to have something fundamentally wrong with their mental health?
Even people without mental issues struggle with life, and the mature answer to various hard situations is not running away from the conversation and hide somewhere.
So sometimes these situations and dialogues seem very forced and a bit "telenovela-ish", but overall I am willing to give the title a lot of leeway, since it was clearly an introduction to the characters and the story.
What really didn't sit well with me was MC behaviour in some situations, such as discovering that he has 43 millions at his disposal, his reaction is obviously an attempt to make him holier than thou, while instead it seem pretty selfish instead of thinking how much he could help the people he promised help to, he goes on his self hating tirade, guess what, it doesn't make you look good and you just look like a self absorbed asshole.
So, in conclusion, very nice supernatural elements that are super interesting and in my opinion quite fresh, annoying MC (that actually holds his own sometimes compared to our friend in L&J) and some LIs whose problems seem a bit forced, but are overall endearing.
Hendrik and Barry are obvious MVPs.
If we created a fan server for Professor Amethyst’s content, would anybody be interested in joining?
