No the same really can't be said for DS at all as the gameplay is the end-all-be-all for that game.
For one, Gameplay =/= Challenge, which is what was being discussed here.
Secondly, to claim that difficulty or even "gameplay" is the "end-all-be-all" for DS is throwing into the trash the lore, story, setting, exploration, character building, multiplayer, etc... of that game.
Which is just ridiculous, those things clearly have value for a section of the player base.
So my point still stands, you might not like an aspect of a NSFW game and that's perfectly fine.
But to say it hurts the game overall because it doesn't fit your very narrow and subjective definition of "what is a good NSFW game"?
It's just the same as critiquing DS for its difficulty, you like it or not.
