Asked Steam about the game, they reply this, so maybe they dont answer about games in the check queue or maybe since the release date is ''someday on 2024'' Mirth just plan to wait till last moment and hes drinking a tea while we keep waiting everyday and that make sense for me since he say this on discord.

Idk, at this point ill just wait but not to buy, hype just dissapear.

No, I don't recommend you. Just pirate it. Remember, he squized his patreons for years, he hasn't got money issues and even if you buy it, he will not make a sequel or another game after this.

As much as I despise people who complain about shit they're gonna pirate anyway, I have to admit this release has been very poor. Delays happen, so we get told the official release is gonna happen week later, people can readjust their hype and prepare for that date instead. Now it's just in limbo because of what exactly, Steam verifying the game? You really couldn't have done it earlier? People have a rather short attention span, when Aurelia inevitably comes out, it's gonna be more of a lukewarm welcome, "oh cool, this game, I was wondering what was going on", instead of a proper response filled with hype that was practically guaranted had Mirthal and his publisher didn't fuck up this bad.

I'm leaning towards agreeing with the notion that they don't give a fuck because Patreon will keep going anyway. So much sour taste, and for what.

It does seem very odd; obviously this isn't quite regular game development but there's a reason for time between a game going gold and release. By that train of thought they either literally JUST completed the game or did not bother to go through the required procedures ahead of time (granted I don't know the specifics of Steam's release system). Impossible to say but admission of either would look bad.

How exactly getting the game approved first before giving a release date have anything to do with squeezing his patreons, anyone can do that one way or the other.
You're right, getting the game approved first BEFORE giving a release date have nothing to do with milking. Thats why he gave release date BEFORE any "approval checks". And then he tries to look like it was a big surprise and like he's going to think about maybe releasing it on other platforms. Maybe later. Just not today. And while it is "being checked", patrons paid their december fees already.

Implying that said Patreons wouldn't keep supporting him if he didn't gave them a release date even if they are still doing since March or something when the game was supposed to release (or so some people say it was supposed to).

Where is this from?

Did at least dev imply somewhere that the team is working on something new anyway while this shit is getting sorted?
Seconding this question in case anyone has seen mention on Patreon/Discord or wherever of what Mirthal and Walnusstinte may be planning to do after release.

What team? The artist has moved on, the dev himself has "plans" but there's nothing beyond that
Yeah I've read about the artist on Steam forums too. I just didn't realize there's no one else in the team. Assume his "plans" include coke and hookers then while searching for an new artist of the same talent level (good luck). This fucking project man.

Are you sure that 'moved on' implies he wouldn't work with Mirthal anymore? Last I checked he's a freelancer, so whoever pays him he'll work for. But his work for Aurelia has probably been done for quite a while. So he moved onto different work.

Listen, I can't be arsed digging up all the sources(do your own legwork you lazy shitheads), but the gist of it is that Walnuss is working on his own stuff, including a game(not with Mirthal). Mirthal wants to make games in the future but nothing specific has been stated. This is all public information, if you snoop around the patreon and both dudes' twitters you'll find most of it fairly easily.
