tbh it still doesn't look as good as before...everything is nice except the mouth part which can be a bit confusing since there is a lack of colours (which isn't bad). But my brain can't process where the tongue or any of that is, i just see an open mouth
The inside of the mouth cannot get this much light. If it is this bright, it means there is something covering the mouth cavity that is reflecting light, the tongue. It's pixel art, difference of a few pixels changes things a lot. The artist is too good everywhere else to do this by mistake. The bright pixel below the upper lip definitely isn't a single tooth either, it's the highlight of the rounded tongue.
Not sure what you mean by before? I've compared the one from v1.0 with v0.25 and they're identical, unless there was an older sprite pre-0.25 which I don't know about?
I mean sure for photorealistic art it wouldn't necessarily be that bright, but for stylised art, even in non-pixel artstyles it's common for the inside of the mouth to be brighter than reality. Typically it just shows that you're seeing the tongue in its normal position, obscuring the deeper parts of the mouth like the throat. Take Erahunter for example:

The thing is, there are levels of stylization. That anime picture is more stylized. This particular portrait of Crystal, on the other hand, has realistic lighting alongside the stylized proportions. If someone were to make a perfect sculpture of this and cast the same lights, the highlights and shadows would be in the same places.
Before you had to buy it from certain statues you can find in the dungeon. They hold a scroll with the respective spell. But I think in the final version either you only need to buy the first one you can or you already have all the spells from the start (unless those spells are actually connect to the training sections you do with Ivy).
No, for that spell you needed to reach the bottom of Melkor's Realm, this would unlock a side quest from Ezra where she would give you that spell (by "editing" the realm). That was in 0.31, idk if it's changed.
You don't call a few comments "everyone". This is one of the highest-rated complete games in the history of this website. Pretty sure it's top 10.
The game is great but to some people it was better before the Final Version, some content got removed, remade or reworked and those who like it was before will for obvious reasons complain about it.
The good news is that some of the removed content (Amber's facial, the old OST, some legacy art from reworked scenes) has been confirmed by Mirthal that it's coming in a hotfix, maybe v1.01 or v1.02. It's a tough wait because I really want to start my mod project for Aurelia, but I'm holding out until all the content is working first!
