I've always loved this game, but decided long ago to wait for a final release before jumping back in. I've heard that it is approaching, but there's one thing I don't understand (and F95's wonky search system didn't help): will this "final release" contain all planned content or does the team intend to keep developing the game? The fact that the current version is 0.31 suggests the latter, but I'm not sure.

This next release on Steam will be the "final" release, tho Mithral already mentioned that if the game gets some good sales additional content may be added to the "final" version.
mirthral has always been kind of an asshole from page 1. the only saving grace of the man is his art.
People who you call assholes just express their opinion without self-censorship, I much prefere this over full of shit "nice" devs with dedicated community managers.

Yeah as Black-Wolf alluded to, 'like this' is a very broad term for such a vast and high production-quality game.
But for a similarly vast game set in a fantasy world with a range of fuckable female characters and high production value, I would highly recommend Shuggerlain, by Taifun Riders.
So is this thing delayed or what? There's only 2 weeks left in Q2 when it's supposed to be releasing. Patreon hasn't been updated since February, nothing on Mirthal's Twitter about a release date.

Well if there's is nothing official then I guess the answer is "what".
Have you tried discord, don't know if it's open to everyone or only supporters but if you can join that the best place to ask.
Besides you are 1 week too soon to start getting worried about it, it's only after the release of the Elden Ring Dlc, in one week, that you can become worried.
Doesn't seem reasonable to be getting worried or jumping to thinking this is a scam at this point. The game has been consistently developed since it started and is clearly pretty wrapped up in the most recent version. The release is probably delayed, but most video game releases are. It isn't something to be getting freaked out about given that Q2 isn't even over yet.
I don't think it's a scam, I just think it's going to miss its release window. I don't think that's an unreasonable concern since Mirthal doesn't bother to communicate.
