Are you sure that 'moved on' implies he wouldn't work with Mirthal anymore? Last I checked he's a freelancer, so whoever pays him he'll work for. But his work for Aurelia has probably been done for quite a while. So he moved onto different work.

Listen, I can't be arsed digging up all the sources(do your own legwork you lazy shitheads), but the gist of it is that Walnuss is working on his own stuff, including a game(not with Mirthal). Mirthal wants to make games in the future but nothing specific has been stated. This is all public information, if you snoop around the patreon and both dudes' twitters you'll find most of it fairly easily.

I can't exactly blame people for not looking around Xitter.

Many countries including mine have been banned porn since 2007 on all internet access. Specifically that Dev's "Patreon and twitters" because they are tagged as porn.

You yourself didn't even know about that information and didn't even know our problem, and yet you tell us Dig it up ?

At this point we are professional pirates ! And you only read twitter and patreon announcement and call yourself "The person who have the most information" ? Yeah makes sense !

Yeah. Aurelia was one of my top 3 games on this site but after this release bungling I don't think I want to give the dev any money. Unless we get some serious closure once this is over.

Disappointing.

BREAKING NEWS: Local man on pirate porn website says he is not going to support game developer with money
BREAKING NEWS: Every community consists of "local people".
I know, it can be quite surprising, but when income hit certain low levels, most of devs SUDDENLY start to give a damn about their projects. Or they change they job.

If for some reason you think, your opinion doesn't matter, maybe you should read what "learned helplessness" is.

It is just some fuckers forget the rule about spitting at community. They like to fuck around till they find out eventually.

BREAKING NEWS: Local man on pirate porn website says he is not going to support game developer with money
I believe there's nothing wrong with a stance like this.
There's a whole culture of 'sampling' a product using torrent sites or a site like this and only then you make a decision whether or not to buy it.

As for porn gaming goes, I had only one mistake with the Innocent Witches - I supported them for 4 months, 1$ per month. That was like 4 years ago. If I'd still supporting them given that things aren't going anywhere with this game - you can imagine there are a whole lot of better things to spend your money on.

On the other hand there's a whole culture of making 'promising' projects which turn to be 'sample' games made to earn money fast. Like those Early Access ones on Steam which got abandoned soon after (not all of them of course). Or even better - make a sample game for Patreon and then pretend that you working on it. For years. It's not a big deal for a person to spend some 1-5$ on a game could be released any day.

Imagine you'd spend on every game you liked here on this site and NONE of them will be released. Personally I went through the " wow, I like this game. I think they're close to release a full version of it in a couple years, then I'll buy it for my collection and basically to support these artist" process several times.

Also I believe if someone declares that he won't buy a game, it's not just some angry talk. It is a matter that a developer should've listen to. If they give a damn of course.

If these past few years of gaming taught me anything, then it's only a handful of developers who really care about what their players say.

From the little digging on twitter I did, the last thing the artist posted about the game is " Almost done with this game ", which sounds more like they've finished all the art, rather than abandoning the game. Given the game has a clear endgoal, it seems plausible

Anyone who is trying to frame Walnusstinte's words as abandoning the game instead of having finished a contract is either a) trying to create drama or b) thought that him and Mirthal were like an inseparable team (think Nasu and Takeuchi of Type Moon fame).
