Is OP gonna be updated with the new build? Played the old build for a while before I realized there was a new one.

Everytime I try to play this on Android it loads then once it finishes the game crashes. Anybody have any way to fix it?

I haven't played this game in awhile, its one of my favorites but the updates seem to proved little content considering the time between updates. And I am not knocking the dev, most developers do this as a hobby, and it also depends on the type of funding he or she receives. It's still one of my favorite games, it has a unique style and game engine, and I hope the dev can finish it.

If that's all it takes for you to stop being a fan, you were never a fan in the first place.
I mean I kinda get what he's saying, and agree to an extent. If they introduce a game mechanic to something that you previously enjoyed, and you don't enjoy the new game mechanic, the quality of your experience starts to diminish, and I can relate. Given how repetitive and blatantly filler-esque the grind is in this game in order to artifically lengthen updates or increase "difficulty", I'm pretty disappointed as well. There's plenty of ways to make combat fun, and you can tell it was made to lengthen rather than enhance the game. Could easily have introduced unique sexy encounters between certain waves, etc. Doesn't even have to be animated. Honestly, if the quality of the art wasn't so damn exceptional, I'd have dropped this ages ago as the quality of everything else is extremely lackluster in comparison. For as long as this has been in development, the story is still in its infancy, characters still lack any real depth, the gameplay is pure tedium, and the content is sparse between updates. But I'm legit jealous/envious of the artists skill as pixel art is my favourite style.

Hmm, it has a BDSM tag, but neither femdom or maledom tag. Can someone tell me in which direction this game swings, respectively how much control we have of our MC in that regard?

I mean... the sexy encounter idea is in the game and getting expanded on fast. At least for the dungeon, which is the end game as of now. With the new additions to the dungeons, like the map revealing shrines and the save points it in a pretty good place right now. (mostly some functional "builds" and a speed up missing) Story/Character wise the critque is better placed, as far as non subjective points go, but as someone who has played some of the more "story driven" content on the site... it tends to become more of a curse than a strenght quite often, so i can see why it put as low priority.
I think the grind is resonable as it is mostly very contained so you won't need more then 5 times for the story wise needed progression.
I also might be a bit to generous to compare it to the grind fests on this site and it really is gorgeous.
My point being less that someone can't have a boring time, but more that the decisions the developer makes seem sensable for the kind of game he makes. (which isn't a given in many cases.)

If that's all it takes for you to stop being a fan, you were never a fan in the first place.
Imagine creating a game that:
  • Literally hands you levels for free on every task.
  • Showers items to you like candy at every corner. (specially at the dungeon)
  • You can literally savescum money in at the BEGINING of the game. (not that money is even hard to get anyway)
  • Has a difficulty level that 8-year-old kids could go through with no problems.
  • Allows you to bullshit with potions/blessings pretty much any challenge.
  • It's mostly dialogues, really...
  • Minigames rarely take more than 1-2 minutes to complete.
And yet get to see some individuals calling it "grindy" and "hard" because A SINGLE MINIGAME asks you to actually use your brain for more than 5 minutes straight.

This is the only thing that comes to my mind.

I disagree. You CAN critique this game while still being a fan. Declaring that you're no longer a fan(The other guy, not you) just because there is a bit of grind makes a person petty, and inconsiderate. And as Mirthal himself so graciously responded to me, the game is already VERY generous with the number of things it allows you skip through cheats and whatnot. There is literally no legitimate criticism here aside from the game's development being slow and the story not progressing.

That being said, everything is subjective. If you do not enjoy the mini-games, and how the game runs in general, that's fine. That's up to the player's tastes and frankly, I myself do not have a problem with it. I'm just peeved that so many people have so little patience here, especially since Mirthal isn't one of those 'ghost' developers who put down a demo and then disappear for half a year, taking everyone's money and shoving out some small insignificant update that doesn't matter.

As long as the dev does NOT have that scummy behaviour, they will be in my good graces. Mirthal is one of those people.

Love the game, hate melkior's realm with a passion. Wish I could skip the damn thing. Which region is the swamp? What floor/level?

Disclaimer: I have not played this game in over 2 years - I saw this thread and decided to check it out. I am only replying to this comment because I disagree with your statement.

I think it depends on the expectations you set as a developer and the expectations a player has entering the game. This is a porn game and some people are probably playing it only for the adult scenes and the story/dialogue. If you put in something that is vastly different it takes away some their enjoyment simply because they came in expecting something and were surprised when things were different in a bad way. From my perspective it is the same as why some people get annoyed when political ideology is shoved into games - you dont play games for politics you play for fun/escapism. Similarly I do not play porn games for grinding I play them for the story/dialogue and for the adult content.

If you want to add in grinding/minigames that is fine - other people might enjoy that but I do not think you should be surprised when people expecting something else dislike your game especially if your game did not have this in the past and it suddenly has it now. In any case based on the recent conversations it does not look like a game I would enjoy. Good luck with the game!

No matter how you slice it Aurelia's been very much an adventure game themed porn game from way before, this isn't some new development. The only complaint I can get behind is that Melkor's realm could use more polish in the gameplay department, seeing as it is more of a timesink that you will want to go back to eventually, unlike the other minigames which are more of a one and done type of deal.

Does this game include male to female transformation?
There's a minigame with generic dungeon monsters where after completing a certain quest you can, upon filling up a meter, fuck the monsters instead of fighing them. Only 3 of the monsters so far are fuckable, one of which turns from a male to female kobold. Thats as far as genderbending goes so far. Nothing MC related.

The expectations where never a "this game is only dialogue/scenes", minigames and RPG tropes/mechanics are everywhere and we , even our very early marketing/showcase material (from when we had not that many RPG mechanics) shows this aim/direction prominently.

So this is less a "we didn't understand each other" and more a "What do you mean I have to battle people in Pokemon? I just want the story."

Plus, what I was mocking is not so much the expectations of the game or personal tastes (because to each their own), but how people are labeling a game that is by every metric designed to be a relaxed stroll in the park a "hard grind."

Which ironically can give people the wrong expectation for the game...
