can u (or someone else) reupload the uncompressed version - whats the difference anyway, worse picture quality or will it be the same size after unpacking?
I am assuming the compressed version requires each image to be decompressed each time the game loads it which results in more work for your CPU.
Yeah, I also like the game but the poor translation kind of ruins it, so I started working on a translation. It's still very much WIP, but I can share what I've done so far.
The concubine bit in and of itself is a mistranslation. Mikuzu is just using "妾", an archaic version of I. Every time she refers to herself, the MTL mistranslates it to concubine.
Yes, she also calls the MC "onushi", which is an old term for "you". I belive she's speaking "ye olde japanese" to indicate that she's very old. I'm not sure how archaic she's meant to sound though, and just went with normal english rather than going full Shakespeare on her. I'm open to suggestions though.
You could use something like thee / thy / thou to give it that bit of archaism while keeping the rest normal English. It's up to you.
I tried it out but I think just swapping out the pronouns sounds unnatural, and rewriting her dialogue to match without going too far is a lot of effort. I think I'll leave it be for now, my first goal is just making the dialogue understandable.
haven't really ever done that but i might help ya if you wish, i'd mostly translate english > english though, fix grammar and pronouns but i guess that already would make a huge difference, if ya wish just appoint me something small so i can try it and you can tell me if i did a good job :3
Fixing pronouns and things like that would be an improvement over the official translation, since it's very messed up in that regard. But I always translate everything from the original japanese since the english translation is frequently completely wrong, so improving the english translation would unfortunately not be of any use to me.
