That is literally how it works. If she's not ovulating, there's no egg to merge with the sperm. And sperm doesn't survive for longer than a week (even making it one week would be unusually long).

Why does it always seem like these game devs don't know anything about sex? If you don't have first hand experience, at least educate yourself before making a game about it.
who cares, most of us are basement dwellers and the only place my sperm is going is the tissues and your mom. Pregnancy content and impregnation ftw

He just wants to boast how he has read one Wikipedia article about the subject and is now professional in women's body and disguises it in a way that he implies he has "experience" and is better than average F95 user or game dev :HideThePain:

Yes, because scientific accuracy is SO important in a AVN......

Also, that isn't about having sex, that's about a woman's reproduction cycle.
It's still wrong. And since a significant part of the game is about pregnancy, that's quite a bold mistake to make.

If you reading that someone has had sex before seems like boasting to you, I don't know what to tell you.

a) don't give up on your life like that.
b) a good game about pregnancy shouldn't have blatant misinformation about it.

Not every woman has a typical cycle. Some don't get their periods every month, some get their periods more frequently than the typical 28 day cycle. If she has a 21 day cycle then her fertile window would open up the day after her period. Even if she regularly had a longer cycle not every cycle is the same. There's no telling that a woman's safe days as calculated by her last period is always going to be accurate.

Tbh, the concept of safe days is idiotic and shouldn't really be used, since woman can become pregnant at any point during their menstrual cycle. It's just more likely during certain parts of the cycle and sperm can stay alive for about 7 days inside woman's body.

Please don't spread misinfo. You can't get pregnant "at any point in the cycle". If the ovulation has not happened yet, there is literally nothing there to fertilize. And sperm stays alive more like up to 5 days (often even less). 7 is completely unusual. And so, if you subtract 6 days (to be safe) from the day the ovulation can happen at the earliest (factoring in individual fluctuations), the days until then and the days after the egg has died again are safe*.

*But of course you should not rely only on your math for contraception.

The amount of fertile days per cycle is actually around four. Though given that as you said, sperm can live for a number of days, it may seem like a few more.

Who actually cares? Whether wrong or accurate it is the devs choice what he does in the end. This a porn game where anything is possible even overnight pregnancy.

I play the game and enjoy it, I enjoy LEWD scenes as much as the next, but it feels like the story arc hasn't progressed for at least 5 to 6 chapters, and now constantly just sex sim without story progress.

could be wrong, but i thought the entire point of the conversation was to make it seem like pregnancy was possible even though she is saying its safe, in order to build up to a future pregnancy or scare. i think being wrong about pregnancy risk was in fact on purpose. whether or not dev knows female anatomy and biology having nothing to do with the scene. but that was just my assumption at the time.

What about when they sync up?

Research on that is actually pretty inconsistent leaning towards it being unlikely, but as someone who lived with 3 women at the same time I could easily believe it. The theory is that women release hormones when they're menstruating that signals to other women to start menstruating to encourage greater genetic diversity. Since if they menstruate at the same time one month then they'll likely ovulate at the same time the next month, making it less likely that a single man could impregnate multiple of them. If you look into the research on it then it realistically probably doesn't happen very often if at all, but in my subjective experience I could believe it.
