That must be only a problem with the walkthrough mod. The normal game (I almost never use game mods) has no errors there at all.

Try changing the renderer. Hold down the Shift key and start the game. Select the Angle or Angle2 option at the top left.
Click the bottom left to exit - and try to start the game again. That helps more often that not.
Or see if there is Logs file in the main game directory - there may be a clue in there. :>)

Adjustment MOD (V1.0)

Hello...
I complied together a few minor utility mods, as well included a few (UI) interface adjustments (function and visibility) for this Ren'Py title...
  • Edited the gui.rpy, and screens.rpy files; added some font shading outlines, as well changed some of the red ui features, to blue. Also moved the Discord and Patreon buttons to avoid button overlap if using the wt mod.
  • Included the Universal Choice Descriptor mod (this mod can be used to display on screen some hidden choice content data...if coded behind choices.)
  • Included the 0x52_URM tool. (it can do many things with Ren'Py titles...edit and display. Use your alt m keys together to bring up the URM console).
  • Also included a QM mod that hide's or display's the quick menu by pressing your Q key. (Used to help clean up the dialog area of your screen.)
  • Replaced the default text box with a custom dark shaded version. (Improves visibility without blocking the back ground images.)
  • Included a text box opacity and font slider mod, (which is used to adjust the shading intensity of the dialog text box, and or increase / decrease the dialog font size.)
  • Changed the choice hover.png and choice idle.png button images (from two shades of red, to a blue and black format).

Installation:
Just extract and merge the mod's game folder with this titles game folder (over write when prompted). Then run your game.exe, and enjoy this title's minor UI changes and added utility features.

Also, unless major changes are done to the GUI file...this mod should not require regular updates like walk through mod's do. As well the URM mod comes with it's own self updating feature...so when an update is available an update prompt message will appear on screen. Just follow the mod's instructions to update it.

Extras:
I also added the Alabama mod with a minor adjustment done to it (instead of just Aunt, I changed it to Aunt Eve). Just place the zzzzz.rpy file into your game folder for the Alabama experience.

Also added below an adjusted version of BladeSSR's multi mod's screens.rpy file (it moves the Patreon and Discord buttons down to prevent button overlap). Just paste the file into your game folder and overwrite the multi mods version, if you want to move those buttons to prevent overlaps. (I used the Alabama file with BladeSSR's multi mod with no issues, to get the Aunt Eva effect.)

One has less schenes and the models are a bit different here and there. Nothing too over the top. The Remaster has the new models sort of and some more scenes(not that many).

Also one works for me and the other does not. Still have not managed to get the Remaster to work. Anything after chapter 1 gives missing image on screen with just the dialogue box getting shown.

Haha this is just insane, talk about someone having a traumatic childhood growing up. At this point I just want to see Cody doing the Aunt that would be the cherry on top.
