When I went start the game i got this alert from my anti-virus software: IDP.ARES.Generic. It states that it is a trojan horse....

What software are you using? Because I haven't gotten anything from either one my programs. According to google "IDP.ARES.Generic" is identity theft program.

The Mod is updated for the latest version (Episode 25).
The detailed walkthrough is updated for the latest version (Episode 25).

Warning: The "animations" since Episode 18 are quite heavy and could crush the game on old devices. The developer made Nora's dancing animations a little bit less heavy but nevertheless the game animations are much heavier than real animations because they are made from series of renders. Let's hope this issue would be solved by the developer but till then keep this in mind. Other than that there shouldn't be any other bugs.

PS. The latest bug introduced by me (missing noraendlay24 label) is now fixed.

BTW, does anyone have a clue when will the game be completed? The game is having sixth birthday next week. I think plot should slowly move towards its meaningful conclusion.

Use URM. Easier than waiting on walkthroughs to get updated and lets you see hidden paths and what the requirement for them would have been. Among other things.
