Just started a new game and it seems like all the animation images are missing? I searched and found a "hotfix" from two years ago but that hasn't fixed anything. Is there any way to fix this? Because this is literally the only time this has ever happened to me in a RenPy VN and it's super weird and makes the game unplayable.

I'm not sure what you mean? The animations are now in WEBM format.

At the beginning of the game when I meet my cousin, "image not found" appears.

Well I'm still getting missing images whenever animations show up. I downloaded from MAGA and used the MultiMod, if that makes any difference.

Just standard questions needed to be answered

1) Did you install it in a new folder not copying over the original files
2) did you try it before installing any mods at all (outdated mods conflict with newer versions causing all sorts of problems)

3) (Not super knowledgeable about video codecs and stuff ) but are you using an outdated OS or Video Codecs that doesn't support the newer formats. I have an old ipad that can't open Webp images because it is so outdated now. Quick test is to find a sample video in Webm format and see if you can play it.. I think heh

Why do people use mods that are outdated? Stop using mods that are not updated...

Read the what the mod says, it says ep25, this is ep26, which means the mod doesn't have the content for ep26 and it will cause issues like any other outdated mod.

I've used mods that were outdated before and they never fucked up something in the beginning of a game. I'm not having any issues with the latest content, literally the first animation in the game where you're in the hot tub with your mom and aunt has every image missing. So does the second animation in the same scene. If that's caused by the walkthrough mod being outdated, then something is either seriously weird with the mod or the way the game is coded, because I've played many games from the beginning with a walkthrough mod that wasn't updated for the latest version and I've never had this, or any other issues.

It is also fixed in my compressed version, I get no missing animation frames.
