I guess in the end we'll see who's right
What you don't understand is even if the game does come out, everyone who critisized you is still right. Squandered good will and enthusiasm with delays and/or blatant lies about progress. No one is expecting anything from you cause you've proven over and over that any belief in you is only rewarded with disappointment. Your reputation is in the shitter and you're still on here dropping the same talking points about how "But I never charged! But I changed some art!" while the rest of us can go back 3.5 years (5 if we look at the ULMF thread) and see missed deadlines and excuses.

I honestly hope the game does come out, it had so much promise. But understand you've a long way to go before people will take you seriously again.

You tell yourself what you want, I'll read people saying "There will never be another release," and know that a new release literally disproves that.

I merely came back to address the Patreon going down and comments that the project was dead. It's not, and whether I somehow redeem myself in the eyes of "fartfacereturns" is beside the point. Check back from time to time if you want, maybe there will be a release. Or don't and go on about your life. I wish you well either way. Have a nice day.

I would suggest to bring back the turtle... it was entertaining, in a certain manner.

Just to add on a different angle; the demo was relevant in 2015; it looked fresh, nice story, nice graphics, mechanics. Now it’s 2020. Even if it would get released or updates, which will of course never happen, my view is that the porn game scene has moved on a lot, and the game would be just mediocre right now.

Oh, and don’t compete with YT on details guys. He knows his stuff. He can have very factual proof that he did update and release various versions since 2015, with improved graphics, tons of work under the hood, and 4.25 new scenes, as well as 38 line of text and many other details. So factually he is always right. He sees the ant on a tree and can describe it to you. Too bad he misses the damn forest.

Has he said anything on discord? I look at the trello from time to time and he somewhat recently updated it. He added some daily work cards for a week in july, but I dont know if he found the time to do the things on the work card as it has not been updated since.

I feel the same way. The art was unique and the game was pleasant. It had great potential.
I just checked his Patreon and it looks like he is still active with $5,000 an update but the game itself hasnt been updated in 3 years. So much for his stretch goal promising that he can work full time if he hits that point.

Update on Aylia's Story

Hello everyone. If you are not on Discord, you're probably wondering if I'm dead. I'm not, nor is the project. It's time Bogwort finally got a bit of action! What you'll be seeing starting this coming weeks:

1. The "Under Construction" will be coming down and the Patreon page will be updated including tiers (most will stay the same, but I have to apply taxes and I want to ensure everything promised is actually delivered).

2. Trello will be updated to reflect work-in-progress and bug tracking for releases. (Prior content is currently archived until new format is in place)

3. Upcoming release structure.

- MV Test Release - The next "release" will be an MV version of the prologue will be released for testing purposes. I want people to test for lag, map issues, plugin conflicts, etc. Only play this if you'd like to be involved in the testing. (This is NOT a paid release)

- MV Story Mode Release - The first real MV release with new chapter 1 content. This is not a release akin to the poor 0.11 release that half the content didn't work. The script will most likely NOT be edited at release. (This is NOT a paid release)

- MV Chapter 1 Release - This release will have the full battle system in place with artwork. It should have new content above the story mode release. This will be the first paid release for Aylia's Story (Yay!).

I want you all to know that I'm humbled how many people have stuck with this project and I'm determined to deliver for all of you. Thank you.

it was hype back in ulmf days. lots of people supported him and I believe if he did succeed back then he would had been one of the top patrons today with a generous income. u can understand that as still 687 believes in him even after that many years.
I want to believe he will get back on track, but this is getting old, tons of promises that does not mirror reality.

Eh, I'll say the same things here that I said on ULMF back in the day: He's not milking people of anything except their attention. He's not getting money and failing to deliver, he's not faking what he has for advertising dollars. He's just... not making a video game. Which sucks, sure, because from what we saw of the early releases there was some real quality there, but in the end we haven't exactly lost a whole lot.

If it comes out, I'll be happy, if it doesn't, well, sometimes life happens.

Exactly. He blessed us by sharing his in progress work with us. But I think you inteded "he's faking what he has" to read "he's not faking what he has".

I'm still patiently waiting. It costs me 30 seconds of my attention every month or so to check if anything has happened. And seeing as I had hours of fun with his demo's I'm still a net positive for fun for a few more years.

You're 100% correct, I typed it late and dropped the "not." MB!

This dev could be a politician, the guy has literally messed up the people for years and is still paid for it. Anyway, it is one of the reasons why I don’t donate to these projects anymore. View attachment 834550
He doesn't get paid for it. He only charges his patrons on updates. Which he has only ever done once, and that was a refundable one since it was for a translation he was working on and not this game.

man this guy stole money from a lot of people. I fucking can´t understand how the hell after 4 years this shit didn´t even come to the 15% of a ´´history´´. Why he doesn´t admit his never ever gonna end this game?. You see him replying more people who says he is faking everything than new content on the page. He post a trello that u can´t even know if everything there is true. Lmao this dude have an awesome potential to work on wall street or in a politicizian career......

I think more importantly than grilling Yummy, I think it's worrying how many people still believed him. Maybe people don't remember, but Yummy used his support to pull money out of "Accident" once and cashed out 2k. He also charged for an edited machine translation of Hunter's Quest.

I think that people are so guillable, and they develop para-social relationships way too easily, no matter how many promises are broken.

That's not true. I never "used my support to pull money out of accident," whatever that means. I've only charged one time, and it was for a complete Hunter's Quest translation. This was clearly specified before the charge was ran, and I refunded anyone who was charged without realizing it. The translation was not perfect, but it was not an "edited machine translation." That's also false. I can speak and read basic Japanese and was assisted by a fluent speaker who's translated a number of other games. The translation was free and was never behind any form of paywall, so nobody had to pledge or pay at any point to get it.

Also, I'm not sure many people "believe," I think it's more that it doesn't cost them anything to watch and hope that maybe it will get released. Now, if I get a few releases out the door, maybe people will believe again. That's my hope anyways.
