Game engine does not jive with non-english symbols in the path name, throw it into something like C:/Games/Aura

Might be on the OS side then. Non-English/Latin locale setting sticks out. Can't test on my end. Definitely an issue with extraction or file path (or the way the OS can read them), and the file path was ruled out.
