Upgraded engine? So you're saying the game will be moved from Ren'py to Unity or Unreal? If so, you will be alienating some of your fans. I couldn't possibly say what that percentage is. It might even just be a very small percentage.
But either way, you should do what you think is most beneficial to the game and you.
if is to go to Unity or UE is killing the game because those engines are heavy and dont help for avns. There was some avns that were using those engines and went back to renpy because lot of players couldnt play the game because dont have good pcs.
i think he was talking bout a newer ren'py i could be wrong might been another dev i support on patreon saying that.
Na, this is mis-translation ... I wanted to say updated engine cause we're using old renpy and we don't have all the optimizations and settings of the new versions released since the beginning of the development. We have made some tests nd upgrade on B.E.S.T would broke... literally saves, game, functionalities... So if we go through a " sequel" or anything, we will update all the tools we have to make it better. With 4K renders, full optimizations for animations, optimized scripts, Custom UI... That we can't add in this version without broking everything.

just in case if you didnt notice it - starting with renpy 8.4.0, as it seems for now, renpy games wont be playable on windows 7/8 PCs anymore. probably not that many users having older OSs (Im one of those, and i have zero intention to switch to any newer windows shit), but it still could cause some discomfort among players, i suppose.
anyway, good luck with your future work&projects!
If you have a PC that still runs Windows 7 or 8, and no wish to use a later Windows OS, you can still use Linux for free and just run the Ren'Py games there. They work fine, no matter the version, with very few OS exceptions that I've seen or heard of. You don't even need to uninstall Windows for that, just dual boot to Linux when you want to play one of these.

if u were in the discords for this game u would here that unless they get the finanical support for the game so they can make episode 6 then episode 6 will be in the next game.isn't this supposed to be the last update? or is it just the end of the season?
