It's time that many folks come to the realizations that these are porn games and as such you most likely will encounter any and all sexual kinks and fetishes. Deal with it already and stop all of this endless bickering and whining about "NTR". Has anyone ever seen a porn movie were the director or production company created the avoidability of certain scenes within the movie? Why do we have to deal with this nonsense here?

While I do agree people shouldn't be whining in threads about NTR especially when it comes to games where NTR is already well established, comparing movies to choice based visual novels is laughable, not comparable in the slightest. Visual novels with branching paths and loads of choices exist for the reason to give the player the ability to tailor their experience to their preference.

I understand peoples frustrations when you're on a loyal path in a game with avoidable/optional NTR and then some borderline NTR thing happens on a non-NTR path, when that isn't in line with the choices you made up to that point. (Not talking about this game in particular by the way, I'm just making a general comment)

I don't like netorare, but as long as it's optional/avoidable it doesn't bother me, I just don't play that path, which is why I always use a WT/URM so I never accidently get on those paths somehow. If a game has unavoidable NTR, it's simple, I just don't play that game.

Do you have a discord? Do you know any Renpy game with gallery implementation as you suggest so I could check the code? If somebody who doesnt play NTR turns on the game without variables set and goes to gallery based on persistent variables how I can ensure he doesnt go to NTR parts and diallogues?

Thanks for the game and for having a gallery in the first place. It is interesting so many renpy games here don't even have it. More reasons for modders I guess

Developer BadMustard also shared sample replay code on their itch.io page which I studied and built on for my own gallery mods. Note that most of the code is really setting up the actual gallery screens. In this game's case the work is already 99% done, for the actual replay just need to replace:

action [Hide("Gallery1"),Jump("Scene1")]

with something like:

action [Replay("MCThoughts")]

and in the script, for each replayable section, at the end add:

$renpy.end_replay()

This will bring it back to the gallery. Using the replay function should also allow the player to end it in the middle at their leisure.

For things like NTROFF variable, the replay function allows variables to be passed using the scope feature.

In truth, prior to my original post, I already made a mod for such a gallery. Therefore changing it to replays can be done. It was relatively straightforward to match the scenes in the existing gallery due to the generous labels. Additional labels can be added for an exact match to the current gallery.
