I haven't fully worked out yet exactly what roles Tails will play in the rewrite

It would be very cool if it's something like this:

Tails got mad that Sonic hid her swimsuit top. He's ashamed to see her and gets a boner; going home fast.
Depending on how tainted she is, the more nasty pranks she plays on Tails to make him blush.

Such as, loosing her top on purpose, showing off her bare butt when leaving the pool, have her panties slip,
she pulls Tails pants down, touch him down below when plaing around, spread her legs, say naughty things
and so on. In the end, Tails will loose his mind and exploit her naughtiness.

You'll still need to play some dialogs before you can get Cream to fornicate with you...even with messing with the stats, unless you know how to edit the right variables in a save file to turn the underwear and naked options on early.

Unless there's some 3rd-party app out there that does for iOS devices what Joiplay does for Android — i.e., provides an environment for the PC or Mac version of a Ren'py game to run inside without having to have the game specifically recompiled for it — then no, I'm afraid not. I don't have any way of building the game for that platform.

Unfortunately, from what I can find in the Ren'py documentation and forums, you can only build for iOS if you have a Macintosh computer (which I don't) to do development on, since you need to be able to use Apple's Xcode IDE, and Xcode only runs on Macs — and, on top of that, you also have to be enrolled in Apple's "Developer Program" to have a valid code-signing certificate for Xcode to use, and Apple charges an annual subscription fee for that.

That's Aval0nX's art, not mine. For the record, I'm not him. His art is only in the game because it was there when Protofan ported the old, incomplete Flash version of the game (from 2013) over to Ren'Py a couple of years ago, but he is not involved with this version of the game at all.

(Supposedly, he is working on a complete reboot / remake of "Babysitting Cream" of his own, which is why he keeps drawing new Sonic/Cream art that, in theory, is intended for the game — but no one has actually seen any actual sign of the game itself, and he gets salty and abusive whenever anyone asks him about it, so who knows.)

If you had loads of time and patience, it's easy enough to VM the Mac OS on a Windows PC...but it's also a royal pain in the ass as well because you have to spend yo' $ to get the subscription AND tie it to your personal Apple ID...unless you decide to start up a business account with Apple.

If the end user of a Mac really wanted to play, they could VM Windows and give it just enough memory to run a gaming session on a Mac. I did that for about a year...using VM Box (Virtual Box) with a licensed copy of Windows 10 on a freaking 10 year old i7 iMac...it was able to run almost any RenPy / RPM / Unity game without issues.

My point is, there are work-arounds to get Windows to run on a Mac...you just need to search them out.

The previous poster's issue, though, is he wants to run it on an iOS device — an iPhone or iPad — not a Mac. That's where the need for a Mac development environment to run the Xcode IDE and for a code-signing certificate comes in. Ren'Py can build a package that will run under MacOS on a desktop or laptop Macintosh computer without needing Xcode or the code certificate, and it will run; but it can't build an iOS package for iDevices without the Xcode environment and a valid Apple developer's certificate. iDevices are locked down a lot harder when it comes to 3rd-party apps than MacOS computers are.

So, possibly sensitive question then, are you planning on using any of it? I mean, it's publicly available and was made for this project, but at the same time I wonder if it might cause issues beyond remaking the game in the first place.

That was a subject of much debate on the earlier thread with Fuzzybunny's version, too, and it's a can of worms I'd just as soon not open again by discussing it on an open forum.

I will say, however, that we've got a couple of other artists on board now, who are willing to contribute (some of theirs is already in the v0.3.2 release, and some more will be in v0.3.3) and who can mimic Avalon's style well enough that the differences in artwork won't be overly jarring. So, our options are no longer limited to just scrounging his stuff or leaving the scenes as giant walls of text, at least.

I have to wonder why people keep coming back to this game specifically. But as far as I know, there haven't been many attempts to make new games with similar or different kinds of content. I can't really think of any other erotic visual novels with these characters. This is weird to me considering both the amount of time that's passed since the original version and the reputation for massive amounts of STH porn.

Oh, sure, anything is possible. Find me some artists willing to do the work, and some people willing to pony up the cash to pay them to do it -- or, alternatively, some artists willing to do all of that work for free -- and we'll talk.
