I was going to do another lengthy, blow-by-blow response to pleevy's post quoting me and addressing my expanded thougths on the issue, where I think his interpretation of what I'm saying/what I want is incorrect and that's causing more issues, and even tracing through the code of the game to understand what I'm saying and how I'm interpreting things, but honestly it feels like we're going in circles and just rehashing the same thing over and over becuase no matter how much I try and explain my thought process it's not connecting with others in a way that is both understood completely and a true representation of what I'm intending to say. I give an example for illustrative purposes and it becomes "I want to do this thing" or "this thing is happening in the game". I make an off-hand suggestion and it's now like I want that thing in the agme and am ballooning the potential additions beyond what's reasonable. If my words aren't clealry getting through or are going off in directions I never intended, then I have to consider whether or not there's merit in me continuing to press on something that may not ever actually be addressed how I intend. And since I can't control how much of the communication issues are directly the result of me vs how everyone else is perceiving them, then the only control I have is to just avoid the issue altogether if I dont' want to loop back over re-explanations a ton of times.
For instance, a lot of my suggestings that things be tweaked/added to fix what I think is an issue or unfortunate quirk in the game's handling of things feels like it spirals into an out-of-control, slippery slope style argument of "but if we make this change and add that scene then where does it end before we're just making an infinite number of scenes and an endless combination of interactions to satisfy every kink and permutation of characters!" Like I want to fix a couple of scenes that I think are awkwardly handled or show some consideration for a few places where it feels like there's more room to explore something down the road (not even necessarily doing that right now), I'm not saying that I think there needs to be consideration for a sixsome option where you invite over Knuckles, Marine, and Amy and order pizza that Hershey delivers and it ends up with Sonic holding Knuckles by a leash as Knuckles furiously jerks off to Marine fingering Hershey while Cream puts on a strap-on and plunges it in Knuckles' ass and Amy pounds Sonic's cock into her snatch as she pisses into a water bowl labeled for Knuckles since he's the doggy in this weird scenario and also Hershey has pizza slices hanging over her tits that Cream is eating from and they all are watching a sextape of Vanilla getting DVDA'd by Shadow, Tails, Eggman, and the lead guy from the live action Sonic movie while Charmy does a line of coke out of Vanilla's ass crack and the guy's wife from the Sonic movie fondles Charmy's balls until he cums all over her tits. But that the scene also needs an alternate version where Cream is squirting into the bowl and Amy is instead sticking her fingers into her own butthole so that it doesn't offend the people grossed out by pee. (and once again, to be totally clear this ridciulous exaggeration is just for illustrative purposes of the most degenerate, expansive, nonsense scene I could think of as a general example of carrying the idea of adding content way too far. I does not represent something I want to see added to the game in any way, shape, or form)
So I think I'll just keep my suggestions to myself and swallow my concerns and allow you to make whatever version of the game you want. And if I want to make some alterations then I guess the only reasonable way to do it is to just fork the game and do my own entirely separate version so that I can try the things I want without having to worry about spending more time on trying to get everyone on the same page than it would take to actually do the work.
