When Rainces spoke at all, it was generally to promise that the next update was "two weeks" away. Or in beta testing. Or otherwise close to completion. I think once, shockingly, it was even true. Every other time, it just meant that people got hoped, re-subbed on Patreon, and then we all waited several more months. But at least for me and apparently some others, "two weeks" has become a running joke.

Hey Everyone!

I wanted to give you all a quick update — I’m once again between jobs, which (on the bright side) means I’ll finally have some extra time to focus on development. My goal is to finish the next update for the main game within the next month.
In the meantime, I’ve also been working on a demo version of a new side story called “Drifted into Sin”.

This short story follows Bobby and Lucy, who find themselves stranded on a deserted island after a sailing accident. Alone, cut off from the rest of the world, survival forces them to rely on each other. But isolation also brings tension, emotional vulnerability — and the slow rise of forbidden desires. It’s a darker, more intimate chapter set within the same universe as the main game.

The demo will be released on Patreon soon and I'll post more information about it at my new page [Patreon](https://www.patreon.com/c/RAadult).

I know many of you would rather see progress on the original game, and believe me — so would I. But the truth is, it’s been extremely difficult working without Patreon support for over a year, especially while developing independently and without income from this project. That’s why I have to publish something on the platform, even if it’s a short side story — just to keep the page alive and justified.

That said, “Drifted into Sin” is still part of the same world, and might even merge into the main storyline in the future. This isn't a detour — it’s just a smaller step that helps the bigger one happen.

Thank you all so much for your support and patience. It truly means the world to me. ❤

So only you know where you came up with the "2 week deadline"! Yes, he's late, sometimes even by months, but here technically speaking he hasn't yet exceeded what he wrote then...

He literally says "within a month" for the next update, and "soon" for the demo of "Drifted into Sin". Neither has happened yet, to the best of my knowledge. He has said two weeks in the past. Search the thread for the phrase "two weeks". It comes up with three pages of results dating back years, because he's made the promise multiple times. As I said, it has become a running joke here.

Here are a few references to the "two weeks" thing going as far back as 2018. There are tons more.

So I hope that on 1st October we will get 2-3 images from the new update which will be released in “two weeks”
You could also just READ RAinces's post on Patreon (or posted a little above), AND KNOW RAinces typed the following:
"

Hi guys, next version is still in progress and it will be ready in about two weeks."

I'm not going to type what I think (I do have some ideas) about you ... I'm really not going to do it. :test3::angel:
I'm all for cutting devs slack for a lot of stuff. Devs or their loved ones get sick. Hell, I know of at least one main dev that died between updates, and the rest of his team struggled to continue this legacy. Work happens, or doesn't happen, as the case may be. Games get banned on platforms. Wars start, and not just within the comments here. That is all outside the devs control. But let's not defend devs that at worst constantly mislead their supporters, or at best somehow haven't learned after several years that they can't meet any self-imposed deadline they make. I'll also not defend a dev that is somehow too busy to make a five-minute status update to their supporters when there is a delay. Stuff like that is fully in their control. Communication and transparency is important, but Rainces just really can't be bothered to give either any real effort. They're certainly not alone in that. Many devs are like that. But they can be, because so many people will accept it as normal now.

He has said two weeks in the past.
Yeah... He has subsisted "weeks" for "years" now

because so many people will accept it as normal now.
That's the thing! People like the game and is willing to accept this behaviour in the hopes for an update to be released.

Saddoggames (not going to name the game because of rules) released 2 updated and then went silent again. In the two updates I didn't notice many new content in the game, but people still praised it for coming back from the dead.

It's mass Stockholm syndrome!

So ”2 weeks” came only from your long experience... nothing proved...

You quote a post from 2018 ...?

I believe that people are just hoping for more content and don't really care if it takes 2 weeks or 2 years. We lose nothing by being positive after all.
We lose nothing! But it's his supporters I feel bad for!

They support him for the development of the game but don't even get a status up date for extended periods of time!

Taking 5 minutes out of your day to post a development update once a month is the bare minimum I would expect of someone who I am supporting.

18 months of silence is disrespectful to the supporters!

Obviously you're not a supporter, you just suffer for them... what else do you suffer for? World peace, polar bears, glaciers...

His supporters have disposable income so they will be fine. If you are living paycheck to paycheck the last thing you'll do is support a porn game developer known for disappearing often.

I don't suffer for them as I am mentally well balanced!

World peace and other problems can only be solved with the human race being gone and since I'm part of the human race, I have a vested interest in that not happening.

Plus it's not something I think about often as it's too depressing to dwell on.

They can do what they like with their money and I can feel bad for them. There's no conflict.

The funniest thing is that no one supports him. What's 22 subscribers compared to scammer Zip's 160? I think people have learned how to spend money and have expectations of the developers. Currently, the standard is to release monthly updates and regular surveys about the game's development. It's becoming increasingly difficult for dinosaurs like Zip and Rainces to trick people into "sponsoring" idleness. If you want money, earn it.

I think people are waiting for the update to be released before pledging support again.

With his habit of ghosting people I can't fault people for waiting, but we will have to see what happens with the support level he gets.

If its not enough support for him he will stop development of the game instead of stringing people along for years:eek:

People are doing the right thing by waiting. Rainces would probably have more support if he deceived people like Zip, but he doesn't, and I respect him for that.

You are the better man for over looking the whole "2 weeks" away from the next update a few years ago.(y)

The way i see it, the last update was almost two years ago. The last updated date speaks louder than anything we could ever say.

tell me in the latest version Lisa goes to Max, is this the end of the story or is it still continuing since there are still unopened scenes with my mom and also with Lisa after Bobby with a bloody face asks her to come back? WHAT TO DO?
