IMO, 2 options:
1. SVS is monitoring the devs and pledge on patreon when updates are released.
2. The devs are partnering with SVS to share profits from the downloads.

I'd guess they pay for early access tier when they release to drive up traffic to SVS, ad money probably covers the cost.
I got my copy off another site that uploads to Uploaded, which I happen to have a good debrid site for so easy pickings for bringing to The People. And I'm a Man of The People

Accordingly, Part 1 contains the first 6 chapters, in the second part the remaining chapters...

In fact, these questions can also be found by reading the description of the game or by starting to play.
It is logical that since the first part has chapters 1-6, it is first enough to install the first part. At the end of chapter 6, you are asked to install the second part to continue.
Naturally 2 parts are installed separately from each other. Otherwise, no one would divide these parts. (this is not a separation when archiving is carried out. but a separation of the game by the author, as the content has become too large to fit in one part)

Are previous saves from 0.82 not compatible with this version? I either get the below error immediately on load or of some saves or shortly after loading a save then progressing a few clicks.
