Friend if you have purchased on Steam the update is automatic if you have configured it.
And if you go here, recreation informs you of the update.

well yes and no, yes whenever thread gets posted after added it to watch list and no besides f95 "sometimes" forgets threads watched unless posts on it weekly so no way to get just when game is updated notification just general when some1 posts on it.

Steam or Itch are the only places where you'll get specific notifications, Patreon, or Subscribestar are the lesser eveil if you don't want to go through hundreds of posts. Here on f95 I currently don't know a way to filter out non-update posts.
