No, it's called that because Rachel has bad memory when she takes her pills.
Or because MC has bad memories of the abuse he/she suffered as a child. Or because some sort of bad memories have cause Ellie to be in the state she is in or Kat to be in the state she is in. It's almost like everybody in this game has some sort of bad memories impacting on how they behave in the present.

Yeah, I'm trying to think of the "bad memories" MC had with Rachel. I vaguely recall selecting an option to let bygones be bygones and after that everything was good with her. If there were flashback scenes of the dark times I certainly don't remember them at this point. I think it's been a year or so since I last played. I'm starting over from the beginning anyway when the update drops, so it's all good.

There are a few scenes where the MC remembers stuff Rachel did.
To keep it short, MC's dad used to abuse Rachel both mentally and physically including forcing her to have sex, Rachel took to drinking and started taking her anger out on the MC. While that's going on MC is looking after Ellie which started Ellie's hero worship of her brother/sister.
Got to a point where MC had enough of their dad and Rachel and ran away.
Sadly that also affected Ellie who also ran away but some shady shit happened to or something she witnessed which caused her to go into shock and hasn't spoken since.
