I found the in-story relationships good enough. Rachel seems to have been MCs mum for most of their childhood anyway. So what if she didn't actually give birth to MC? She definitely did give birth to Ellie

So often, I see someone responding to someone I already have on ignore. I open too see the ignored content and I think I've yet to say to myself, "this person isn't so bad after all, I think I'll unignore now." Usually opening the ignored content reinforces my earlier decision.I was hoping that 1) MC would gradually learn how Katherine has been deeply hurt in her life and 2) how she came to feel that she can't trust anyone, and 3) why she needed to put up walls to protect herself from further injury,
and that Katherine would gradually learn that 1) MC is actually a decent guy, and 2) she needs to be willing to take risks and be emotionally vulnerable, and 3) that tumbling down into being a submissive, masochistic, exhibitionistic, roleplaying, bondage-loving, well-trained, frequently spanked, bi-sexual, and downright perverted plaything for MC and his harem is just what she needs to start enjoying life and healing herself.

If you think that's true, have you met Max yet? True, it's a low bar to be more of a mensch than Max, but I consider John/Jill Doe to be better than most, especially for a game where just about everyone is dealing with their traumatic past (i.e. Bad Memories).

You must have a milder nature as I. I'm French, when I try a game with a French translation it gets on my nerves after a few screens and I switch to English. Not that the English version is always good but since it isn't my native language it hurts me less.

Up to you. I think that giving her just one might make her a bit more submissive (along with other choices) but that doesn't really change much beyond a few alternative lines of dialogue.
